  1. Past hour
  2. To paraphrase Sir Bob: You gaze into the doorway Of temptation's angry flame And every time you pass that way You'll always hear your name... (and I could be in Manchester some time soon...)
  3. I recently moved to another country (Cyprus) and I am trying all my best to secure a job here as musician and I started playing bass guitar because one of my friend here on Cyprus helped me with learning how to do it and send me an invitation for a local job where I just can play music and have fun and earn money
  4. Gregor form BassTheWorld is a big fan!
  5. Do these fit the Epiphone Viola? Bought one on the weekend and a case would be great!
  6. Little thread resurrection. Just bought a second neck (different seller); neck arrived about a week ago, just had a second delivery if an Allen Key. This rings a bell;
  7. Wouldn't the vast majority of us have messy music desks? Mine is. Go on mate, you can do it. 😁
  8. Knob head…
  9. Sold Mike a strap last week. Absolute pleasure to deal with. Thanks Mike
  10. Simon sold me a strap, arrived promptly and as described. I'd be pleased to deal with him again. Thanks Simon.
  11. FP rehearsal. Drummer used his own electric kit rather than the tatty one. No ear protection needed. Went well.
  12. Given they have the same neckpocket-interface, I tested it via a neck swap. That maple cap makes it way more raunchy, even on the warm PV-pickup.
  13. I think the Ox recorded that using Rotosound tapewounds.
  14. I use the NUX Mighty Plug and am totally happy with it. Yes I'd like the complety wireless option of the more expensive options @tauzero mentions but I don't want to spend that much. I just use a short wire to my headphones so it doesn't get snagged on stuff, it just goes under the neck and up to my headphones without much spare. The Mighty Plug has an app which let's you set up 6 (I think) different patches with amp/cab/effects etc on each patch. You don't need to use the app to use the Mighty Plug, just to edit the patches. You can bluetooth music into it to blend with your basses output. I really like it.
  15. I have an idea, but what exactly is a bell end?
  16. Get them to play some country music backwards. That way they will get their dog back, their truck back and their gal back and won’t notice you left….
  17. Cracking amp, tone Beast. Glwts!
  18. This was on my board for a few years, never let me down but just fancied a change so I’ve got a boss chorus on the board now. The toneprint options make it a pretty versatile pedal, found myself mostly using the Duff McKagan toneprint. No original box for this unfortunately but will be packaged securely. Price includes postage in the UK, cheers
  19. Got this in a trade on here recently but it’s just not got much use. Between the green Russian and the grey stache that I own I have my fuzz needs covered. This one is two big muffs running in parallel, one of them has a standard tone control, the other has a mid boost/cut. Certainly a lot to play with and a lot of sounds to be gotten out of it! No original box with this but will be packaged securely. Price will include postage in the UK
  20. My Jazz was probably strung with flats, hence me trying black nylon tapewound (they looked cool, but burnt my fingers when I slid on them).
  21. As they have round cores I would say there's a bit mellower than the D'Ads. Watch this video, from 1:56 to 2:42 and then again from 6:49 to 7:35, which might help.
  22. You need to listen to some Ben Webster.
  23. I presume the My Generation solo was played using flats. I know it was a Jazz and likely to be before rounds had been invented. I have a recollection that the strings were only available on new basses and he used more than one. That could be my memory playing tricks on me.
  24. Reduced to £60 including UK shipping. Another thing I thought I needed but didn’t. This has had less than a couple of hours of use. I messed about with it, then put it in a cupboard. Pretty much as new.
