  1. Past hour
  2. I don't want to make us lefties cry, but have you looked at the Bass Gallery recently?
  3. I bought one of these a few weeks ago; fantastic bass. Wide but really comfortable neck, and a huge range of sounds. Absolutely love it, and recommend this. Best of luck with the sale.
  4. That’s a good call, the amount of times I’ve panicked at a gig when my RM500 didn’t work only for it to be this.
  5. My mate had a similar issue, the case he was after had been updated and made slightly bigger, the newer version not fitting in his car boot. He saw an older version online and messaged the retailer for dimensions, specifically measuring the actual case in stock, not the manufacturers spec, which they agreed to do and replied with, and fortunately for him it was the old case sizes. He placed the order, received the case, which was the new version. So he returned it at their cost. Moral of the story, you can only trust in something when you have it and can test it yourself, the person on the other end of the phone/message could be a very helpful individual, willing and eager to help a customer. Or they could not.
  6. I put this massive board together out of all of the bits I actually use during an average rehearsal. Covers everything I need. I've got it set up so in A/B mode it swaps between a slightly driven SVT and a very distorted SVT. Then for stomp box mode I've got it loaded with a Darkglass Microtubes capture and a Sansamp Bass Driver capture, and I'll test those two captures out and go with whatever I prefer on the day. My setup doesn't need to be any more complex than that.
  7. Good working condition with a few small dents to the metal grill. I have added insulation tape to the internal cage which took away any rattles/buzzes that these things can get. Will chuck in a -40db attenuator for the DI. Comes with the original carry case but this is slightly tatty. Can be heard/seen/tested here in sunny Bolton. Postage within UK should also be possible.
  8. Lovely sounding Ashdown spyder with its 2 x 12AX7 valve pre amp. Case is a bit tatty but nothing major and amp is fully functional and working. Can be tested and played here in sunny Bolton. **Postage in UK may now be an option ay buyers cost as i have some packing material to hand**

  9. Hi Gang! Hope everyones good. Putting my Ashdown rig on sale - this is from December 2024 so 6 months old basically and can prove it. Working perfectly and taken out to rehearsal just 3 times, but going digital with the band (Anagram + IEMs) so no use for this sadly. The head comes with cover, mint. Cabs with minimum scratches - enough to feel them with a nail but not cut thru the tolex - I can still remember the trip where this happen and facepalmed myself. Cabs are about 14kg each or so, can carry the whole rig two handed. Tweeters on OFF/MID/Hi on both cabs. Would prefer selling as a rig. If separate: RM 500 EVO III head £400 w/ cover ABM 2x10 EVO IV Pro Line (not the compact) £400 ABM 1x15 EVO IV Pro Line £350 Take the whole rig for £1k and I'll add the foodswitch and cables too. NOTE: Decoloration is only because of having wiped them with a wet cloth to clean the scratches for more accurate picture - they are black all over and even of course.
  10. A Hundred and Ten In The Shade - John Fogarty
  11. So some leaked pics of the rehearsal room are doing the rounds on social media. Looks like the bass rig is a pair of Fender Super Bassman's with matching 8x10's. No sign of the basses being used yet
  12. Hi folks, just thought I'd post an update here based on a few conversations... I appreciate this is a big - and expensive - item and it's a long way to travel for many people so I've had a think about how far south I'm able to travel for a meet up from Edinburgh... West - Abington Services on M74 East - Berwick upon Tweed. Middle - Jedburgh Hope that helps a little. It's not a heavy cabinet but it's dimensions make it difficult to package up for posting so I don't think that's an option. Thanks for the enquiries so far.
  13. I tried the Minimax and it seemed like overkill after the Elf. Too complicated for the likes of me…
  14. I think it was 2011 when they redid the Queen back catalogue. All they seemed to do was add more of Brian into the mix over the top of others things happening. However Queen I as it is now known is incredible. I bought it on vinyl as I have most of their albums on vinyl plus I really like their earlier stuff and was really impressed
  15. What a challenging transcription to have made! It's not just the notes, it's the feel too – what a player! I have one request (and you can ignore me and throw stuff at the screen if you want). When you're doing these walking jazz transcriptions, could you put the chord at the top of the bar? That way I can sit there and try and figure out what he's doing as it relates to the key? (I know I can do this myself, and I do)
  16. Just a guess but does the V7 have a headphone switch ? I recall Ashdown did this as well and it mutes the main speaker out ! Just a thought
  17. If you 'try' something in a shop the item is still on the retailer's premises. I'm not aware of many instances where a physical shop would allow someone to take the item home, without paying for it, to sort of test it out.
  18. More Tan a Feeling - Boston
  19. Today
  20. What about one of the Peavey amp heads ? Minimax I think it was called ? I used my ELF into a 2x12 4ohm cab with a loud rock band and it kept up nicely
  21. If it’s online rather than bricks and mortar it may well just be located in a distribution centre staffed by by 3rd party employees who have nothing to do with the online store. Their job is to take stuff off shelves and get it on vans for delivery. Online sales are cheaper for a reason. If you want the personal touch buy in store, preferably from an independent retailer.
  22. I remember selling basses like this in 1990/91 Always prefered them to the soundgear things there were some lairy colours too
  23. Dropped the price on this again as I’ve had some unexpected repairs come up on the work van so needs must unfortunately!
  24. if that was the reason (a very understandable one) why did they just not give it their answer was evasive
  25. Well, some bands first/earlier recordings are their best, before the "engineers" and "producers" started dicking around. Led Zep 1, Black Sabbath 1, Deep Purple (3rd).
