  1. Past hour
  2. The image is good and works, and I think over the years he has got a lot better at it. In 1990 in Portsmouth the atmosphere was good but the interaction wasn't great (mind you other stuff was going on for me at that gig). I saw them with my wife in a joined build with the Mission and FOTN in 2016 in london, and beforehand I said to my wife how Fotn weren't great with a crowd and the mission (who I had seen loads of times) were brilliant and it was exactly the opposite, so know knows, I am sure it will be great!
  3. Hoping someone can help, I know exactly what I want but not sure what pedal will get me there, I am super fussy when it comes to overdrives I am after an overdrive pedal that doesn't cut lows (or has a bass eq to add them back in if it does) doesn't cut mids and I am not a fan of clean blend as clean blend always sounds like 2 signals to me I am considering the Mojomojo pedal as a possible candidate, any others I should consider Thank you
  4. Cheapo Chickenbackers from China. No thank you.
  5. Here’s a link to his two “Topics” books: https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=Topics+in+jazz+bass&i=stripbooks&crid=2ICN4CIZC6MKH&sprefix=topics+in+jazz+bass+%2Cstripbooks%2C113&ref=nb_sb_noss I’ve just started on the Harmony book, which I find interesting right from the start. I don’t want to race through the books, just get things embedded as I go. If enough people are interested - say four or more - we could create a post called STUDY GROUP: Topics in Jazz Harmony by Danny Ziemann and people can chip in with thoughts, ideas, experiences, maybe record sound files and/or videos, help each other out. It’s a popular thing to do on the jazz guitar group I frequent.
  6. I’ve got my hands full with the classical stuff but I’d be interested in this. Can you link to the book (s) and let me know how you’d start such a group.
  7. Hand Over Fist - Rush
  8. Today
  9. Hello mate, I really need room atm... Bossy boots is telling me off Thanks!
  10. Don’t forget the price includes a tasty Fender hard shell case - must be worth at least £200 or so - he said trying to talk himself into a Fiesta Red one 😈😬
  11. Iron Fist - Motorhead
  12. I'm seeing Fields in a couple of weeks for the first time and I was really excited, all of my mates said that they're bloody brilliant live and that Carl is a killer frontman.....I hope this doesn't shatter any of the illusion of excitement for me just yet!
  13. I could, but I opted to take the easy option of spending £40 on a piece of bloody rubber and foam to avoid any DIY, may as well have made the thing myself if I'm cutting a wood blank to shape 😅 alas it isn't returnable now so one must make do.
  14. The organising committee. Might be windy tonight.
  15. So, I ended up attaching a small mixer to the front end of the AG03, so that I could use the the additional inputs on the mixer, and bypassing the faulty channel. Eventually I replaced the mixer and AG03 with a Behringer UMC1820, which gave more inputs and a neater profile on my desk. I had planned to sell the AG03 and tested it to make a note of which channels didn't work - and it was all working again! So, I likewise suspect that it was a software glitch.
  16. Crispy Fried Air is based around a simple | Am | / | G | / | F | G | C | / | chord sequence and features Drums from Logic's Scientific Method+ set, My Bitza Precision using Logic's SVT emulation, Logic's B3 organ, and Logic's Studio Grand Piano. There was originally also a guitar track, however it cluttered up the mix so I took it out.
  17. @Beedster poss a semi acoustic Ibanez or Yamaha guitar but pretty much a straight sale
  18. I am sure others would speak either more authoritative voices but I don’t think wadding will help with low resonances.
  19. In The Grip of a Tyre Fitters Hand - Budgie
  20. Cut a bit of wood to sit on the pad, then the cab feet won’t warp the pad. Sorted!
  21. Great set up. Ran exactly the same rig for a few years pre covid. GLWTS
  22. Get a Grip on Yourself - The Stranglers
  23. Took me about five minutes to scroll this single post. 😂
  24. I have the same two books as you, and the Low Down 1 book. And I really haven't given them enough time - but some of the early exercises from Low Down were great. Over the lockdowns I did sit in on a few Zoom calls that Danny hosted, learning a solo by ear and a few other things. Great educator and communicator for sure.
