  1. Past hour
  2. Use a hairdryer to get all those stickers off - softens the glue so they should peel off without leaving too much mess or residue.
  3. What’s the weight please? Do you have a case / bag with it? Thanks
  4. Funnily enough, despite my best efforts, I'm in the opposite camp. I tried out loads (and sent a lot of money on one), and even though some of them have a decent enough tone, I've never found one that has a response that works for me live. I ended up selling my expensive Class D amp and getting a Handbox hybrid amp, which is an easy one-hand carry but sounds great. As far as the OP goes, I'll see your Trace Elliot and raise you an old SWR amp. For me, SWR coming onto the market was the big step forward for bass amplification. You can pick up secondhand SM-900 heads for a song these days and they are serious amps (the cabs were superb as well).
  5. Offers? Trades? Great pedal at what I think is a good price...
  6. Could you let me know the length, width, and height of each PUP (assuming they’re different sizes which they may not be) plus show photos and dimensions of the rings? Thanks 👍
  7. Also, my 50s inspired but not really that 50s Partscaster. Mark Jenny ice blue metallic, light aged body. Shuker neck, gotoh and EMG hardware.
  8. Well, if anyone on here happens to come across this bass at a gig, can you have a peek at the backline to see if they're also using my missing EBS combo. Thanks
  9. That one is really bad. The only specialist bow shop there is (was) in the UK. Glad it's retirement not bankruptcy. I see the stock is going to auction. "OUR HUGE SELECTION OF BOWS IS NOW BEING AUCTIONED by Amati Instruments Ltd., 10A Chandos Street, London, W1G 9DQ (2 minutes walk from the B.B.C’s Broadcasting House), 0207 099 7114." Doubt there will be any bargains once auctioneers fees are added, but worth a look. Most of the bows have bowspeeds price stickers on so you can see the approx value. https://app.amati.com/en/auction/1128-the-hamilton-caswell-retirement-sale-5th-6th-november
  10. (withdrawn, sorry, bad day)
  11. Reduced to £185 posted via RM SD.
  12. Ah thanks. That puts it in to the same category as the One then. Sorry, one more question. Is it possible to turn, say modulation on and off, or would it be a case of jumping between two patches, one with and one without?
  13. I remember trying one of these (same finish & neck) at a guitar & bass show at the NEC. It was extremely good, which was what one of my companions thought too. This companion had around 50 basses at the time, with some real boutique beauties in that collection. I said that if he didn’t buy it, I would. Presented with the possibility of missing out, he bought it. I often think that I shouldn’t have given him the option and bought it myself. In short, a really impressive piece of kit.
  14. It's a shame Newcastle is so far away, it's a set up I'd love to get a really good look at.
  15. Today
  16. Exactly the wear is perfection, worth every penny and tells such a story! Such a beauty of an instrument!
  17. Yes, it's Lenspeed; I've had experience of them. They are great for moving expensive kit and instruments, but not economical at this price point unfortunately.
  18. Great price on one of these, and a pretty rare beast, wish I had the cash as I’d love a backup to mine.
  19. Honestly did not know the song but had to check it out as its Rob Mullarkey. I see you have a search feature on your site. _Hopefully_ sometime in the future we get to see some more from this bassist But thanks for your work man!
  20. I think that may be down to poor camera resolution in low artificial lighting; some of the other gear looks a bit washed out too (Mavis). That aside, what’s the issue exactly? The display is perfectly legible and you can see the foot switches to press them; what more do you need?
  21. May be a while off, we're still at F1-4 VIP methinks? 😅
  22. Yeah, it is epic, wish I could keep it... Thanks!
  23. Screws and washers have now been added from my other donor Sunn Mustang bass.
  24. Yes, absolutely. For that simple reason that the octave strings on an 8 string bass will have lower output than the bass strings. This way the artificial notes can be lower in the mix and sort of hide behind the real once, rather than having the artificial notes be the dominant ones. That said I am not really looking to emulate an 8 string bass, I just happen to like the tone I get from adding an octave.
