There are some really nice basses out there that I'd take off the owners hands in a heartbeat (one in particular that's graced these pages and Facebook Marketplace), but loads of people have been taking hallucinogenics when it comes to pricing these days. It seems to have really accelerated since COVID, but not come back down to earth. The basses remain unsold for months, if not years, on end.

I'm looking at iems at the moment and is a bit overwhelming especially being a bit neurospicy, can you really get decent sound attenuation from a set of in ears? I am sceptical but hoping I am wrong Also do you normally get a selection of different size tips? I am a little reluctant to fork out for iems only to find that they don't fit and are letting in a load of outside noise Thanks

Up for sale is my Kay K162V reissue bass in excellent condition. This bass is great, but I’m looking to free up some funds. These reissues are beautiful, and this one has benefited from some further modifications from the factory model that have significantly improved it (in my opinion). These are: Tuners replaced with Kluson ones. Tailpiece replaced with a German made Duesenberg one. Bridge replaced with hand made ebony one. Fitted with Thomastik Jazz Flatwound strings it plays and sounds great. Comes with original case. £650. Collection from Beccles, Suffolk much prefered, but can be posted.

Don't worry about it... people can ask any stupid price - it's what people will pay that counts.

I forgot about this until now. I haven’t taken the grills off my Monzas but I did a rough measurement against the grill. Not very accurate because both ports seem to be about 12mm, which is almost 5”. I suspect a more accurate measurement would confirm they are both 5”. This makes sense as I bought the second Monza only a few months ago. I am assuming, therefore, that mine have the lower crossover as well. They certainly work well together. I have an outdoor gig coming up in a couple of weeks, so I will be able to give them some real welly. I can’t wait to hear how the rig sounds at volume.

I am selling a pair of Shure 315 in-ear headphones in excellent condition. I bought them a while back in Westend DJ in London, but haven't used them all that much. Initially, I bought them to practice bass at home, but never used them to play live. I have used them for a few rehearsals, and they do the job well. They are lightweight, sit nicely, and the cable is sturdy. The sound is mid-focused, making it ideal for vocalists or guitar players. It works for bass as well, just don't expect massive low-end. They will come with all Shure accessories (pouch, extra eartips). I did buy an additional cable with a mic for them, but never tested it. I will also include some extra eartips I have. This is a genuine pair of Shure headphones/IEMs, so buy with confidence. Thanks! Free postage in the UK.
