  2. I'll watch it this arvo after Church, but I never left the 80s. My XL2 is still my favourite bass with the Status S2000 and Kubicki not far behind - they just need more stings for what I actually do these days. An 80s Hohner B2V helps take up some of that slack. I also has a Tune Bass Manic which I think is the ergonomic spiritual successor to the Ibanez SRs which today are my main players. My main guitar is also an 80's Daion and I have another 80s one incoming which I'll post when I get it.
  3. If you know what an undiscovered gem Mickey Jupp is as a songwriter, you really should own these! All released in the last couple of years on the Conquest label. New and unplayed, £14 posted UK.
  4. Shouldn't Do That - Hawkwind
  5. You can get it if you really want - Desmond Decker
  6. How was your gig tonight? Old fart like me with an achy back? Look no further at your remedy above. Get in quick as I'm seriously considering withdrawing and selling something else.
  7. I just had to give it a chance, sorry folks! Now sold.
  8. Moving on my SFX Micro Thumpinator HPF as made changes to my rig. A fantastic bit of gear that gets rid of the unnecessary sub bass frequencies that clutter tone and make your speakers less efficient. Used but in very good condition. £60 including postage. Payment by Paypal or bank transfer. No offers please as a bargain. Please see my extensive feedback thread for assurance of a clean, honest and trouble free transaction.
  9. Extortionate charges from bass makers for posting out screws is one thing, but if you really want to get charged lots of money for next to nothing in return then employ a solicitor to do something for you. They have taken it to a whole other level.
  10. There's a lovely fireglo 4005v in mint condition listed on the BassBros website. Very keenly priced, however I have challenged myself (and told the missus) that I won't be buying any guitars or basses in 2026.
  11. You Can't Always Get What You Want - The Stones
  12. New one that I did for a student: Paramore - 'Told You So' bass transcription Now, I know it sounds like music for 12-year olds, but here are some observations: 1) Justin Meldal Johnsen plays some great stuff on this 2) I was delighted to find some Lydian harmony in the bridge (whole lotta E naturals against that Bb major chord)
  13. I do want a try on a Lustihand Comp....
  14. Some great Paul Jackson influence in this groove:
  15. Hi all sold pending if any thing changes I’ll let you know

  18. It depends on the manufacturer, the design and intent of the design, and the execution. In many ways, the power supplies used in class D amps are MORE robust not less, but there are many more factors in how an amp performs. Sone manufacturer’s marketing folks are more creative in their presentation of the specifications, that’s a choice that they have determined their customers are ok with.
  19. Ah .. a sight for sore eyes 😜
  20. Good question. My opinion, they are a bit softer than the Siprocore (even though these are the top tension of the Corelli line). They are also softer in acoustic volume (but perhaps clearer in tone), great when amplified and easier (I think nicer) under the bow. Not a sales pitch but the Corelli’s are worthy of a try if you have never done so before. Different in a nice way.🤷🏾‍♂️
  21. No I didn't actually, someone previously did the mods.
  22. It depends on the manufacturer, the brand and the product category. Some are misleading (intentionally or otherwise) but not all.
  23. You Don't Need It - The Pigeon Detectives
  24. my first bass back in the day ..
  25. Nope I’ve refrained from making an already hard job worse I’ve not put in any filler and my understanding was that the person I bought it off hasn’t also. The binding seems intact on most of the neck too I’ll take more close ups
