  2. If only I didn't need a new cabinet first....nice amp.. Best of luck with the sale.
  3. And here's a short demo vid for this amp - one of the best I've ever seen for any amp head! EBS 360 HD demo
  4. Sale only at the minute ideally but could pontentially consider trades ideally with cash my way (via pm obviously)
  5. I've printed mine and they assume a square edge. I think I'll do some rounding on the dges and do a redesign of them Rob
  6. Hi, everyone This works and I’ve been using it for a few years as a home practice amp. It’s a bit overkill for a bedroom amp as it’s LOUD = so I use the -15dB pad attenuator. Randomly the amp will have no sound output or go very loud- this is fixed by power off and on again. It can run for hours fine, or happen after 10 mins of use which is annoying. Pots/switches seem to be scratchy, so are getting worn or need cleaning etc. When working it’s a great sounding amp. Wedge shaped cab which can be used as an angled monitor. Scrambler overdrive circuit works well with clean blend Output Power (RMS): 40 Watts at 4 Ohms Speaker Type: 10" Ampeg custom speaker Dimensions (H x W x D): 478mm x 406mm x 330mm Weight: 14.0 kg Price includes postage
  7. Also because the plastic corners do need a rounded edge, or at least the ones I’ve used did.
  8. General consenus and 'the rest could be anything'? People do change their pickups - just look at this site - there's hundreds of people swapping out pickups. If you have a look at the photos of the Gardiner Houlgate auction and compare to the Gumtree bass, I'd say everything matches except the Gumtree bass has - for some reason - P90 pickups in it. As I said in the original thread I posted, that seller doesn't seem to stock junk. He's had some spectacular kit through.
  9. Charlie's Enormous Mouth - Zappa
  10. We've got quite a lot of strange perspex boxes made by our workshops (for laboratory experiments). It's heavy and prone to cracking, but you could certainly do it with the right cutting blades and drill bits. But if you wanted it to sound good you'd need some kind of wadding inside which might spoil the look.
  11. The ROLAND KD-8 Kick Pad is a lightweight 8-inch high-quality trigger pad designed for V Drums, featuring a solid durable metal and rubber construction. Its compact size and lightweight design make it easy to transport and store, making it a versatile option for drummers looking for a reliable and high-quality kick pad to enhance their performance. Designed to replicate the sound and feel of a traditional kick drum. Great condition: tested and in full working order. Will work with all Roland TD modules. Selling due to kit upgrade. Width: 27cm Depth: 26cm Height: 40.5cm Weight: 6 lbs 7oz Only £55. Collection from Bournemouth BH6 preferred.
  12. The DM610 is a large bookshelf/standmount speaker from renowned hi-fi brand B&W, featuring a well-braced 30-litre sealed cabinet with 8-inch mid-bass driver. The larger driver and extra cabinet space create a much better low end range than from most similar speakers. This model allows for either bi-wiring or bi-amplification. These speakers present clean tight bass response, surprisingly clear mids for such a large driver and the pleasant highs that the well-designed B&W tweeter at that time was famous for. They can be driven quite loud, enough for the physical effect of the bass to be felt without audible distortion or a sense of sound compression. Both speakers are in Very Good condition, especially for their vintage. All-original, complete with full grilles (one of which has a small hole, shown in the final photo). Only £125. Collection from Bournemouth BH6 preferred. Here comes the science bit… Type: 2-way closed, shelf speaker Colour: Ash black veneer Dimensions: 490 x 236 x 303 mm (H x W x D) Weight: 7.8 kg Recommended amplifier power: 30-150 W Frequency response: 70 - 20,000 Hz (±2 dB) Crossover: 2500 Impedance: 4 Ohm
  13. Si I've tried using perspex once and I'm not looking to do it again. It's a difficult material to work with and the use of power tools was really tricky. I gave up as things splintered and scratched. However other people may be far better at it than me. Rob
  14. Fair enough...
  15. Hi, yes, happy to post to Germany if you are happy to cover the postage. If so, send me a message and we can discuss further. Cheers ✨
  16. Ah bummer I keep forgetting the imgur issue. Somehow I can't get them uploaded on Basschat itself, keep getting error -200.
  17. To stop chipping and make it more pleasant to handle. Very easy with a router. Also paint won't take well on sharp corners. 12mm is good.
  18. Not seen this particular tool before, but EFF has a long and positive history so I'm inclined to trust them. My firefox browser gets a pretty good report. I guess it might be useful if you get a bad report and change your browser security model because of it. If this really bothers you, you should probably be looking at Privacy Badger, another of their tools.
  19. These are superb basses, my one has been my go to bass for over 20 years and thousands of gigs, fab necks and the Fralins are such warm punchy pickups... I prefer mine to any Fender Jazz I've ever played.
  20. Selling my CV Mustang bought off @Loz back in the summer. I really wanted a short scale mustang as I love the look and the tone, but despite giving it a fair go my sausage fingers are proving too much for the narrower string spacing and shorter scale. It's in excellent condition, not a nick or dent on it apart from a small scuff to the top of the headstock and some very low level tarnishing on the bridge/tuners. I've fitted a new set of Labella Mustang Flats before deciding if it stays or goes and these are pretty much brand new. Looking for £285 - happy to meet up within reasonable distance or can post if buyer sorts a courier (I have a dedicated shipping box from Andertons I can use to send and it’ll be well packed) Thanks, J

  21. i have played a lot of amp heads and two brands just stand out: Ashdown and Peavey Max. These have great tone shaping and i love how they just make a fantastic tone. I am not talking about the additional effects which i can craft from my pedals/modellers. I don't really like the DG Amps(I am a metal bassist) and feel that their pedals offer a better value than their heads which are mostly one trick pony but that one trick they do it better than everyone else but their clean tone isnt something i dig in.
  22. Bought this from @woolf earlier this year and it is a superb bass - but with the arrival of a wee mini Bass Apprentice. I can't see me having the time to justify three 4 string basses in the house! So it's up for sale. Borrowing the previous ad until I get some pictures - but the bass has been hung on the wall next to me since I bought it so it hasn't changed at all. Any questions fire away! Will source packing materials if necessary and can discuss postage costs.
