  1. Past hour
  2. That would be great. I was hoping for something similar to the MM Slo neck which is similar to the jazz width. I think the standard USA Rays were just over 41mm from memory. What is the next steps? Do you need deposits or are you scoping the demand/cost? Its fantastic you're doing this for the community, big credit to you.
  3. I would be VERY keen on one for a pre-EB so I can finally own a "cutlass". I have played a few from Status (Jazz, Musicman, Musicman with narrow nut). The latter is my favourite, although this is obviously personal preference. I also fine the modulus flea bass neck to be nice. Any interest in a short scale stingray neck? I would be hugely interested in that. Well done man, this looks great
  4. Keys. I’ve been in too many bands where the keyboard player felt obliged to fill any hint of quiet with pointless flourishes adding nothing to the song.
  5. This is ridiculously cheap for a quality rig - I've just gone a different route in the past month, otherwise I'd be all over it at this price. You shouldn't need it, but GLWTS!
  6. I sold my Elf and have often regretted doing so. I used to use it as a rehearsal amp when I played in a studio with no bass head, just an Orange 4x10. I gigged it a few times through a Barefaced Super Compact, but only when we played a certain pub in Watford that was so small the guitarist used to prop his combo on top of my Super compact and my GK Legacy didn't fit. They get nice and warm when pushed.
  7. This is interesting, and reasonably priced too...
  8. Sew In Love - Ella Fitzgerald
  9. Apparently, the Modulus made early necks were a myth (rrp of a modulus neck was almost as much as the rrp of the G Bass), and they are not actually carbon necks as marketed, they have a maple core with a carbon wrap. Still cracking basses for the money of course, but really interesting marketing choice from Peavey; the manual literally says it's a Carbon Graphite neck with no mention of it being mostly wood. Crazy but there you go. Still want it!
  10. The Needle and The Spoon - Lynyrd Skynyrd
  11. For sale, my mint condition X32 Producer. Just under 2 years old and bought by me from Andertons, it's been flight cased from new. I used it at home to learn digital desks and then did a few rehearsals plus about 10 gigs before I upgraded to a bigger desk. I've kept it as a backup, but am now looking to upgrade my main desk again, and therefore this is surplus to requirements. All faders, encoders and buttons, ins and outs working perfectly. Will be restored to factory settings before it goes, and am more than happy to spend some time with the buyer to show them how it all works if needed. It's a great first desk if upgrading from analogue and a nice compact size for gigging, but also ideal for a home studio setup, or for an IEM rig. It can be rack mounted and the rack ears will be included. All the specs are available on the Behringer website, but this has 16 local ins, 8 outs plus 8 aux ins/outs. Can be expanded to 32in/16 outs with a behringer stage box (S16 or SD16) and you can record multitracks to a DAW via the 32 channel interface. Priced to sell at £750, which is a good saving on new with the flight case which was £200 on its own. Collection from Chelmsford, or will drive a reasonable distance for a meet up. Payment via cash or BACS. Please DM me if you have any questions.
  12. This … if you lose your place reduce volume until you find it again
  13. A great find with an interesting story.
  14. Don't look at each other and wince when you mess up a bit. Chances are most or all of the audience weren't aware of your mistake and you just told them.
  15. I had of these over 30 years ago - it was the most resonant bass I ever owned, and it played beautifully and sounded amazing ! The only reason I sold it was that I stopped playing (for 11 years) and only kept one bass.. This looks like a beautiful example of Mike Tobias's work and is no doubt, going to make it's new owner very happy! GLWTS 👍😊
  16. What a fantastic find, congratulations John 😎
  17. Location: Teesside (N.E.)
  18. That's why I put the Amazon link...

  20. We were in Worcester last night supporting Old Skool Punx The Samples at The Marrs Bar. We were somewhat under rehearsed - drummer played the 2 songs he started at far too low a tempo. The fastfunkypunky one still worked mostly OK, but the straightahead 3 chord punk thing became something completely different - like a stoner-doomfest where we all had to improvise to make it work and surprisingly, it did! Might play it that way again - left loads of room for me to do ringing arpeggios'n'stuff. And at one point I completely lost sound - rather than stop I reasoned that it was just my onstage monitoring and all was fine out front. Turned out that because I was cramped in front of my amp which was on the floor I'd stepped on the lead., FOH was all there and no-one had noticed apart from me and guitarman next to me! We had a reasonable crowd - maybe 60-70 which wasn't bad considering it was a late replacement for GBH who were meant to be playing... And rather than the pitchforks and flaming firebrands the crowd normally chase us out with we even gathered some more followers and a bloke said I played like Phil Lynott (??last time someone said I played like that geezer from Mudvayne so who knows??) Gear was Sandberg Basic-Helix-BBEpre-Crown Power-2x10 Markbass with lovely new Pinegrove strap who I've just discovered are only a few hundred metres from my work! Shoes were TUK creepers, trews were snakeskin jeans.
  21. Listening to. “The Covid Enquiry”. Cannot wait for their second album.
  22. BBE Opto Stomp Optical Compressor This is an early one with the blue led. It's in pretty good condition with a few marks from age and use. Works of a battery or a 9v PSU. Comes with original box and bits n bobs. They're on Fleabay for £150 odd but that's daft money so it's up here for £75.00

  23. The Ampeg sound may be revered but the looks made the Linear Concord look good. The cab looks OK but the head looks like it was built from someone’s parts box. Of course beauty or sexiness is in the eye of the beholder.
  24. I'm happy with Nov 9th
