  1. Past hour
  2. Cracking amp, tone Beast. Glwts!
  3. Very lovely. Enjoy!
  4. One of the best combo around, and it's damn powerful. GLWYS.
  5. Sorry I forgot controls, they are 3 way pickup coil selector, nfp filter preamp q amount, volume, then a killswitch.
  6. Yes people spotted the g string when I originally posted it in the build thread. I already swapped it over I just couldn't be bothered taking new pictures. Haha The neck is a status graphite MM neck with a jazz bass nut width. Well spotted that is indeed a Herrick pickup, it's an 8 coil. Wired with a three way switch so it can do 4 coil humbucker p and reverse p as well. It's also got an nfp filter preamp. I cannot recommend Martin at Herrick enough. Brilliant guy and the best customer service!
  7. Think I would be inclined to plug those holes with short lengths of toothpick and wood glue. It won’t make them entirely invisible but they won’t be quite that obvious. P.S. Those Gotohs must have cost about half what the bass cost!
  8. Good luck! I'll make sure that I'm beaming out lots of positive vibes, as I'm sure half if BassChat will be too. I'm sure you'll absolutely smash it.
  9. Location: Teesside (N.E.)
  10. Edited the topic and reduced the price to £1300 based on the new information, not sure how to edit the price. Thanks for helping out!
  11. The earlier Tecamp Puma 900 is more powerful than the T300 (current equivalent is the Eich T900 but that may have a fan, later Tecamps did, but they were very quiet).
  12. These look great, and if I was carrying an expensive bass around uninsured I think it'd be money well spent. I did use a collapsible sack trolley a couple of times when I couldn't park at a venue - getting out of multi-story carparks in Bath and Cardiff were the biggest challenges.
  13. Quite clearly says £5600 in the title!
  14. I support this view as it's important to engage. Even just to make sure the person is aware that other views are available. Kids raised in racist homes have such an awful start and often don't hear other views. But a band is my escape from the world. I don't want to drag that nonsense into my time off.
  15. Looking for a replacement P bass neck but don't want to spend £300 + for a Fender neck. Northwest Guitars do a P bass neck for around £130 and they get good reviews. How do they compare to Fender? The neck shape says it's modern C which is the same as modern Fender basses. Would it feel very similar? Are they a comfortable neck to play?
  16. We use Alto TS408s.
  17. One of my favourites and one of the tracks that made me want to play bass back in the day (I was a clarinettist back then 🤣). Thanks very much Rob.
  18. I just told them in a text that I wasn't enjoying it so I'd be quitting, they were OK about it. It's the first time I've had to quit a band so I'm glad it turned out OK.
  19. I have a real life situation here. A drummer based in Stoke started posting some pretty extreme things on social media. He would describe it as simply expressing his own opinions, but in a lot of people's minds he's crossed several lines. He's lost all of his gigs, been barred from a bunch of venues, and lost his job as a drum teacher. I have absolutely no problem with people who are opposed to immigration to whatever extent, as long as they can express their point of view without any hatred. I suspected this guy was crossing lines by accident. Because I like the guy, I imagined that he has some reasonable views about problematic immigration, but that he expresses them by sharing some unfortunate memes etc. So, specifically, he shared a meme about a convicted sex offender called Zainal Osman. The meme grabs a headline describing him as a yorkshireman, and then laughs at the idea that he could be from yorkshire. I thought I'd give the drummer a private message, just to point out that he could very well be born and bred in yorkshire. There's absolutely no evidence that I can find online to the contrary. This drummer just laughed at me and argued that he couldn't possibly be British. I explained the facts of the matter IE he could very well have a British passport which would make him just as British as the rest of us, and he stopped replying for a couple of weeks. Then he sent me another meme: I replied "I've no idea whether they're German. You can't tell by the colour of their skin, if that's what you mean?" and again he stopped replying So, publicly he's trying to walk the "I'm not racist, I just..." line, but privately, he's being openly racist. This guy has basically lost his livelihood because he couldn't turn off youtube, and I think that's a pretty sad state of affairs. What's worse is it seems more and more common. People around here are openly talking about how "islam is not compatible" etc. and it's all driven by social media. It's worse than crack!
  20. No problem, just dropped you a personal message 👍 Cheers Freddie
  21. Hi guys. The link to the bass sheet of little shop of horrors seems to be dead. Any idea where I could find this ? The whole book for bass. Even paying. Thx
  22. I've also got a set of the GB528s on my Classic Vibe Mustang bass but interestingly, none of the screw holes lined up on that bass. I had to plug the standard holes and re-drill. Bit of a faff but easy enough. I was pleased that the set for the Sonic fitted exactly. On and done in 5 mins.
  23. As long as you check what the final price will be on what you pay, you can get some unusual thing. Probably not worth it for an old fender or gibson, but for other less trendy brands you can find good stuff.
