I don't have any personal experience, but I've seen some gold wrapped pickups before on a white/black swirl NG3. Looked sick. It should work. I think the trick to getting the curves looking good is using a hair dryer to make it more pliable. Or get a car wrap specialist to do it maybe?

Seen an mxr box in a IMA video with him saying I’m road testing this at the moment, very exciting but I can’t talk about it. Kevin Scott posted a video of him playing through an MXR pedal he couldn’t say what it is but maybe we can guess from the sound (I couldn’t 😂) and 20 minutes later it was removed. As for any agents finding me anywhere ….. best of luck 😅

simonbrown92 started following Distortion on active basses
-
I’ve always struggled with a decent distorted tone when using my active basses, I’ve got a Spector rebop 5 string and an Ibanez SR2600, and they both sound like they’re being water boarded when I step on my boss ODB-3. My Ibanez can switch between passive and active and sounds great in passive. I’ve read threads on hear about impedance issues and radial dragsters being the fix, problem is they seem to be discontinued so my question is does anyone have an alternative solution? Do I need to change pedals? Is there an alternative to the dragster? Does anyone have one to sell? cheers

Race Among The Ruins - Gordon Lightfoot

Great picture, so much character.
-
how do you know this? and if it is super secret will you have to leave the country and go into hiding from the MXR agents?
-
Well Kevin Scott and Ian Allison Martin are both currently on the road with some super secret MXR pedal so that pricing might come in handy. But as I say, best of luck 😅 To us both

These seem to be getting a bit rarer but despite chasing one of these for years after selling my first i think i need to acknowledge my back needs some lighter weight gear. Here we have a USA made SVT III which preceded the current 3pro's. This one has the much famed SVT IIP preamp couples with a big old led sled solid state power amp. 3 x 12AX7's give it a nice throaty growl but there is no full on valve distortion here just a nice old school type roar. Is missing one slider cap but can still be changed with a plectrum - not that i use the graphic EQ anyway. A few of the pots could do with a blast of deoxit as the amp has been set at my fave EQ and never really changed. I dont have a rack case or anything so ideally its collection from Bolton only but could meet within reason. Possibly consider a part ex for an Ashdown Little Bastard/CTM30 Pics to follow asap

How far have you travelled to pick up a Bass?
chriswareham replied to HeadlessBassist's topic in Bass Guitars
London to Cornwall for a Hondo II Rickenbacker copy. Went by train, met the seller in the railway station car park and straight back on the next train to London. Then there was the sheer insanity of going by train to collect an absolutely huge and heavy organ from North West Wales. It was in a tiny town on a branch line, so involved numerous changes and a trolley jack to shift the beast, a very rare Logan T249. -
It shows us enough to suggest you are not playing a Lefty P!
