£50 price reduction Trades - X Touch Universal. Try me with anything, I can only say no 😁 Great bass in good condition, comes with hard case. Short scale. Not a heavy bass. Plays well. Not really any damage to speak of. There’s a little bit at the top of the headstock (photographed) but looks much worse than it actually is. I’ve removed the strap lock pins and replaced them with the originals that were odd when I got it. The case is old but fully function and all the clasps work. Chrome hardware and a vintage sunburst finish. Mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and a basswood body. A retro instrument with a modern twist." Maple Top Mahogany Body Mahogany Neck Lignum Rosa Fingerboard Entwistle MBH Bridge Pickup Entwistle MBN Neck Pickup Jumbo Frets 42mm Nut Width 30" Scale Length Can post at buyers expense or can be collected from BB22SH Any questions please ask.

I had the stereo and sold it. Regretted it and bought the mono. It really is the Swiss Army knife of amp world. I’ve got a Markbass Evo 1 to try out at the moment which basically, has the Multiamp amps and effects but has two independent channels, which is exactly what I need. I think it’s what I’ve been looking for, for a long time 😁

If you're still using an analogue desk, I would encourage you to buy one of these digital desks and wonder why you hadn't before. I cannot adequately describe the difference the XR18 has made to my band. The sound is so much clearer and the freedom it gives people, to manage their own monitor mix etc, is game changing. It has raised our (sonic) game exponentially.

Pow_22 started following Sticky/Grindy vintage Fender tuners
-
So the tuners on my 76 P are a bit stiff and there is definitely some grinding going on. I stripped them down and gave them a good clean and lubed them with chapstick (recommended on a youtube vid as opposed to thin oil that can damage the wood/headstick finish. Whilst they are better they are still incredibly hard work. I dont really want to look at replacing them at this point with it being a vintage bass but of course it needs to be playable. Anybody got any useful tips that may help get them going a bit smoother/easier?

Thinking about it what I'm wanting* is: Some noticeable compression low down so when I dig in I can get my amp to overdrive but don't blow the roof off (see your comment above). Enough middle boost so dusty end widdles cut through. Add top end clarity to compensate for strings a tad past their best and bring out some clank if I go 'Entwhistle' or slappy. *a sub-editor who can type?

I had a RBX765a as my only bass when i was starting out about 20 years ago, It was certainly gig suitable and I played many gigs and a huge number of church services with it before i moved on to other instruments, i believe its still being played in church by the friend i traded it to. I even did a recording session with it and was complimented on it's tone by the engineer. The RBX range is a bit overlooked in my opinion, they're good instruments, well made with decent pickups and hardware and they sell for very low prices secondhand ( i think mine was £120 from a friend). people seem to gravitate to the Ibanez SR range instead which seems to have better availability. I would happily gig with one again. Matt

Clicking the date or the "x replies" works for me in Chrome on Win 11, and in Chrome on an Android 16, so I guess it normally works.

High quality fuzz with some great sounds including Velcro tearing gated fuzz for some synthy action plus more traditional fuzz noises. In the original box with some feet and a sticker. Velcro’d on the bottom plus free of charge carpet fluff. I’m trying to free up cash for a BassRig 15 so not a massive interest in trades / part-ex unless there’s a Cioks DC7 or a GigRig QMX4 involved.

Love the overall look of this, just not keen on the colour. If you put it down, how do you ever find it? May something that Hotblack Desiato from Disaster Area may find interesting. -
IMO Markbass amps do sound good. IMO if you are hesitating and haven't a clear answer in your head, then you don't need it.

A 15 ½ hour used tobe a leap of faith, but the K1 Max is, so far, very reliable. The slicer is basically a version of Cura. These days a 'mesh' is printed to support undersurfaces. The tree supports came loose with a gentle press and the finish on the supported surfaces needs no finishing.

I had an RBX270FL and it was a great bass. I had it for years and only sold it when I fell into the ACG rabbit hole and bought a fretless bass from Alan (that I still have).

Hellzero started following Gotoh bridge adjustment
-
You are quite right, but C is more commonly labelled "string spacing". Beware that these Gotoh 206 (aka Pro) bridges are made out of a kind of fragile zamac alloy, so don't overtighten the screws, or it will break. So first, slightly unscrew the A ... screw (again don't unscrew it too much or it will come out and you'll have to remove the bridge to put it back in place as the nut underneath is a moving part...), adjust your intonation (heigh and spacing if needed) with the usual screw at the back of bridge. Then tighten A again, that's it. There was a thread here a few years ago:

Well it’s much easier in an originals band on a shared backline gig Dave, we turn up with our guitars and whatever bit of kit is our part of the shared backline, from there good to go. I do remember the days of setting up PAs, lights, removing furniture from stage areas, sound checking in a busy pub/bar. Great days but too much for me over last few years.
-
You should try to find a way to play the 3 of them, at the same place would be a great plus, but I think this will be very hard... Online videos offer a good way to have a rough idea, but the best is to try them on your own. If you take a Mac with you each time you rehearse and gig, there's a fourth option: A Studiologic SL 73 Mk2 or a Numa X Piano 73 (quite redundant as you'll have everything almost twice, see below) coupled to Pianoteq 9 (choose the version for your needs) and Organteq 9 if you need pipe organ sounds (sadly not yet available for iPad), all that will be under your £2k limit, even with the full bundle, excellently sounding and way more versatile. Check these links: https://www.modartt.com/pianoteq_overview https://www.modartt.com/organteq_overview

Hi All, I am trying to set up the intonation on my SGC Nanyo SB502 and I am a little uncertain about which screws do what. Am I right in thinking that screws A are some sort of locking screws? Screws B, just normal string-height adjustment, and screws C (see second pic) are to adjust string length? Cheers, Paul

I have an irrational desire for a Markbass amp. I've got a Fender Bassman, Ash down ABM 600 rig and two separate multi effects pedals with good quality amp Sims. Yet when I hear someone playing through a Markbass rig there's a quality to the sound I am struggling to replicate: the punch. Is this baked in to Markbass amps? Or, is this something I can recreate with EQ and compression or something else? Unfortunately my multis (Headrush MX5 and Boss ME-90B) do not have a Markbass SIM. If I bought a third amp, would I even use it? I've gone in-ears now and my amps are becoming less and less used for gigs.
