Wow, someone has beaten @Baloney Balderdash to the first tune posted! If 6 was 1 - You won't catch me singing, so because the Air Fryer poster said it's '6 in 1' I decided to do a little jingle in 6 styles.

I'm sure the dealers will be all over this auction, but y'know, put in a bid 70% of the ticket price and it may beat what a dealer will pay as theyll be hoping for a fat markup in their own shops. Amati will sting you for 22% of the hammer price plus VAT. So a £1000 bid would cost £1000 + £220 + £44 = £1264 plus delivery (plus vat)..caveat emptor. Whoever buys that Dodd cello bow will be paying around £4000 in comission and tax alone.

The brushed metal case of the VIP looks a lot nicer in-person than these photos and videos. It's a high quality tooling and finish. But ultimately who cares, as long as it's sturdy (which it definitely is). No-one in the audience will pay it any attention and even if they do, most pedalboards look like a crappy mishmash unless you happen to have complementary visual designs across the board - or choose your pedals based on fitting a visual aesthetic over sound.

An update for anyone still following this, or for anyone who might have this same issue in the future... Lots of suggestions have been made in this thread, I decided to start with the easiest one to see if this worked: Bought one of these Lehle DC filters, but it doesn't solve the problem. Next up, I'm going to try this:

Oh, that's a shame, I was fully planning on auditioning some German bows from them whenever I was feeling flush enough. I might try a speculative bid or two on the auction, you never know, especially with the German bows where demand might be lower...

Thanks for all the recommendations, and comments pro or contra. Much appreciated. I used to have the Longhorn a decade or so ago, and the Ibanez SHR 4-string fretless, but have been away from the bass for a while.
