  2. It’s kinda Fender’s “thing” since the 50’s.

It may be because the OS is Linux-based - "/" is the separator between directory levels, like "\" in Windows, so Comp/Lim/HPF would be a file called HPF in a directory Lim in a directory Comp.
  4. That's works with me, I'll send you a PM with the details.
  5. I use the EBS Stanley Clarke for both electric and upright gigs and it’s great.
  6. Even your handwriting is lazy.
  7. Hi everyone, In addition to the 40-odd live multiple tribute shows at Warner's Resorts and Theatres I do annually, we are ramping up our trio and have been offered a load of duo gigs. With the duo we're planning to travel light, so I'm looking at an Amplifier-free solution. So what preamps do people use these days? I'd guess things have moved on from the early SansAmps. What do you all recommend for great live sound straight into the PA? I usually have a very clean Fender Jazz sound through either TC Electronic or MarkBass rigs. Thanks in advance 😎👍

  11. Nice job. Dave
  12. I played through one more than once. It wasn't rubbish — it was much worse than that.
  13. This landed back in 2022, never did share a pic of it.
  14. Why has my post been deleted?
  15. my first proper amp was a carslbro. not this combo but a bigger greener one. It was loud but so lifeless. Probably the worst amp I've owned.
  16. Very nice indeed, GLWTS.
  17. Come on, @Okabass, give 'em a pic with your name tag. Then they believe it's you. I trust you, but they don't seem to.
  18. Hey Steve the Andertons 425X has been sold now. Was that you? ☺️
  19. Cover Me - Bruce Springsteen
  20. A wonder that that lovely (Classic White?) Stingray hasn't left you for someone guitarless yet.
  21. For the audition, I just went straight in to my Ashdown ABM600 Evo and Eden Nemesis 210 cab. A little bit of drive on the amp and a slight boost in the high mids. Normally I use a Revolt preamp in front of the ashdown. Running through the dirty channel it sounds amazing, but not right for this band
  22. Poor sound. Poor reliability. Could do with a little bit more power for some larger/noisier gigs. Fairly limited range of controls. Cheap construction. No real character to the sound that sets it apart from other similar 'Cash Generator'-type 'finds'. I'd avoid it (as I did whenever I found one lurking in some awful rehearsal place). HOWEVER, you say you like the vibe and how it looks, so, in that case, give it a go. Don't pay much more than £40 for it.
