Linus27 started following Laney Digbeth Preamp vs Nux MBP-5

I bought the Laney and I was massively disappointed in it and returned it. I also found the EQ to be very weak and subtle and if anything, it sounded very sterile and bland.
-
The Sire P5 was £400 new so the top end of your budget although they may have gone up in price. But they are worth the money. I bought one recently in Dakota Red and it was perfectly set up out the box and I havent had to touch it since. Much better than a Squier, Harley Benton and as good as a Fender Player for half the price.
-
I use that combination when playing live, and change it to the Starlifter + Trace Elliot (or Markbass) when playing through headphones. Great stuff.
-
I too kept the NUX, it is a great little amp and the IR's do really change the sound which makes it very versatile.
-
If you look at it one way, Isn’t it v2 of a MOD dwarf with added Darkglass?

….and two days after saying this Line6 announce the launch of a brand new multi fx/amp modeler that’ll be absolute minimum £2K 🤣 However what the Helix Stadium can do and the quality & level of detail of the tube amp simulation etc sounds like it’s going to be insane, but NAM captures are still legitimately excellent, and so the technology for that will be available for next to nothing (comparatively). I think what the big boys are going to be able to charge the big bucks for is the ongoing new fx/models, support & updates as Helix do now. Back to the original post tho I’m definitely getting one of these to use as a cab sim, or maybe an amp/cab sim, in which case I may drop my preamp and just use different dirt pedals for different flavours running into the amp model, but we’ll see If anyone is interested in what free NAM captures are available this website 👇 has loads on, and you can listen to them with several different styles of bass playing etc. There’s some very nice sounding rigs on there, I just found I couldn’t think what yo search for much past Ampeg, GK and a couple of others - the Avalon VT737 Channel Strip capture sounds really good https://www.tone3000.com

The preamp/Di cull continues, bought as a 1 pedal solution 1month ago for iEM gigs and worked well but I have been seduced by the Kemper Profiler Player that I bought on this very forum. Partners well with the JHS Colourbox V1 I have for sale in this forum and there are some good videos of this pairing on YouTube price includes first class post but local collection welcome

Probably less expensive than printing labels, over time. The smart-phone labels need printing, too. If small superettes use LCD, I presume it's not too onerous (I could be wrong...). There are dozens of formats, for the display of most item prices, whatever the commerce.
-
Aye, I'm only stating fact. I used HD ages after HX - only recently sold my 500x. And it can be annoying that they keep updating. I've got my sound 'exactly how I want it' a few times then been drawn in to change it after an update dropped.

lee650 started following MXR Bass Octave Deluxe
-
Raising cash so up for sale is IMHO one of the finest tracking octavers available for bass. It has two distinct octave voices a Growl which replicates the toothy synth tone of an OC2 and a Girth which is smooth and deep like an EBS octabass/octamizer. You can get subtle variations from mixing the two. It also has a switchable mid boost/cut on the clean tone which can be adjusted internally, very handy. Usual small MXR enclosure with fantastic build quality. Its in great condition and a beautiful deep blue sparkle. No box, but will be well packed. (Note- the A sticker will be removed and cleaned, ive a two channel setup and kept mixing them up 🤣) £90 posted to UK only

And I thought it was all a scam......obviously not. I'll buy myself a ticket immediately! -
I am unsure of the costs of such a system, especially integrating with a guitar hangar ?
