  2. They are all just freakishly good. I saw them live fairly recently and was not disappointed. I played that first album to death when it was released. Still have the vinyl today.
  3. Just got in from a gig and turned on the TV for Glastonbury and greeted with an act called ANOHNi and The Johnson’s, WTF was I watching and listening to, I just don’t get it, music just sometimes goes in some strange directions.
  4. Yesterday
  5. Sounds like a good plan to me. My reference to epoxy cracking was it terms of a layer of filler rather than an epoxy glue that you are proposing with veneer. My only concern with your method is how well the edge of the veneer/epoxy will feather back to the original finish, before you apply your new finish. But, if you intend using automotive style poly rattle cans, Halfords fine filler spray might be enough to mask the join.
  6. I think the app choice depends on your choice of control device. I use the Behringer X-Air Edit app on a Microsoft Surface Go, but I have X-Air Edit on Mac, and the iPad app as back up. I’ve tried Mixing Station and I can’t get away with either the ‘skin’ or the complexity of the app. The workflow is pretty much the same as any other analogue mixer, but without the massive amounts of outboard you need in the analogue world.
  7. Previously, I think RM wasn't allowed to leave items on doorsteps and had to leave a card so you could arrange another delivery attempt or collection from a local RM depot. It now seems that due to cost cutting initiatives and the employment of casual staff, RM really don't offer any better service than the other couriers and just leave packages wherever it fancies. I've recently received a RM proof of delivery photograph showing my package wedged in an unknown letter box. It's a real shame that RM seems to have joined the courier race to the bottom.
  8. Ok, I thought with the combination of playing a Telecaster body style bass and usind a pick I could trick people into thinking I was some sort of groovy guitarist. Lol Daryl
  9. Did a test this evening. A local sparky lives adjacent to where the stage is going to be set up. He's provided us with a feed with minimal volts drop <5% when tested with a 6kVA load on the end (2 kettles!) Just need to keep everything dry if it rains on the night.
  10. Having graciously bought Krispn's Anagram from him (legend btw), I'm finally happy to clear out pedals and board I don't need anymore. The Cali76TX isn't for sale, I just have not yoink'd it from the board yet. I'm in Chorley, feel free to swing by and test any of the above and fondle my instrument's while you're here Bright Onion Pedals Dual AB Looper- no box - £40 posted Darkglass Harmonic Booster - no box - £125 posted TC Corona Chorus - boxed - £45 posted Warwick Rockboard Tres 3.3 with Flight case and Mod 1 patchbay less than 6 months old - £165 (postage would be a pita with this its quite large. 11. The show must go on! Whatever it takes. You got the job done. Oh to be 20 and fighting fit again 😂
  12. Great video. I streamed it to the tv + surround and it sounded really good. You're so cool you're glacial 😁
  13. Nice Legs, Shame About Her Face - The Monks
  14. I've just got in after Gary Numan's warmup show in Frome. That was a spectacular show. He's definitely more industrial rock than synth pop these days. Great night.
  15. Cool for cats - Squeeze
  16. So a festival that's been going since 1970 has always been crap and has never had any music you might have liked. Fair enough 🤷🏻‍♂️
  17. As Tolstoy contended in Anna Karenina, failure is much more interesting than success. I enjoy the bad acts far more than the competent ones. I've got a big TV, surround sound and I haven't flushed the toilet since lunchtime. It's the just like being there, but much cheaper.
  18. Just caught up on English Teacher, Wet Leg, Supergrass, Blossoms - all fabulous and thoroughly enjoyed them. Are The 1975 just a bit overhyped and whiny though? Each to their own I guess 😂
  19. What's New Pussycat ? - Tom Jones
  20. Just got around to watching this - Jesus they're good!! Frankly there's just too much talent in that band.
  21. I’m glad you’re enjoying it. Each to their own.
  22. Yea, but Chris Squire and many others did! Both can be great - whatever works for you...
  23. It's always been a load of crap, the current year is no exception.
  24. There's been some good acts on today - Supergrass, Franz Ferdinand, Alanis Morisette, Biffy Clyro and now 1975 and Fratellis. I get it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but they are mine, and these are all bands/artists that are either currently popular or have been at some point in the past 30 years.
