  1. Past hour
  2. I gigged the 1x15 version for 3 years, didn't miss a beat. Great Combo's these. GLWTS
  3. I would think that putting a mic in front of a double bass wouldn't work well, if at all.
  4. Hi folks, selling my amazing tech 21 fly rig due to picking up a hx stomp. I've had this pedal for a few years and it's brilliant. I've only ever used it at home and in all honesty only used the sansamp/tuner/compressor functions however it all works as it should. It's in good condition, slightly dusty with a few minor marks. Original box included and will include the power supply. Price is posted in the UK. If anyone wants better pics let me know. Thanks
  5. bought a pedal from gaz no issues , very quick delivery thanks again
  6. One of those legendary Pino Bass lines from the 80s Paul Young - I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down | Pino Palladino
  7. Fender player plus active P/J 3 band active eq, passive active switch immaculate condition 3 year old (ish) Home use never gigged. selling due to house move. I travel a little for work North east/west midlands often so drop off available. No trades.
  8. On a slight side note... Star Trek vs The Simpsons. It's okay, I know where the door is!
  9. I got one. It's a smidge under 9lb Full review later.
  10. … And then, it arrived yesterday, of course. I‘m not complaining, though! Without further ado, here is the catalyst for my shattered intentions: That’s a 2010 Ernie Ball Classic Sterling in coral red with a beautiful birdseye maple neck - and the new stable mate to my 2011 Classic Sterling in natural with birdseye, too, but a rosewood board: I really do enjoy the idea behind these: A smaller body than a Stingray, but slab. The classic 2-Band EQ, but a series ceramic pickup. Beautiful necks, one piece bodies, and the absolutely fantastic bridge with mutes. So rare to catch even one this side of the pond … I couldn’t keep them apart. So, I‘m out - but not too sad about it. To the rest of you, keep up the good work and don’t let me drag you down!
  11. Yeah, just seen the price drop now lol! Other things to pay for unfortunately as it would be ace to try out!
  12. Gibson EB0 1968/69 Bass USA This old bass comes complete with original tug bar, working mute and bridge cover. Even the original plastic shims under the bridge cover ‘feet’ are present. The big Gibson mud-bucker is stock and sounds massive. Short scale, set neck with pearl inlays and rosewood board. Mahogany body. I replaced the foam in the bridge as an old yellow kitchen sponge was in it when I bought it. The screws holding the cover in place look newer to me and there is some more modern looking wire connecting to the jack in the control plate. See pics. The other thing I did was to replace the G tuner as it was slipping (in ‘68 Gibson were using imported tuners from their Kalamazoo range to keep up with orders as interest in the bass hit it’s peak). The replacement tuner is a Hipshot and I have the original. It is strung with Thomastik Jazz flats. When I bought it the bass was wearing the heaviest, nastiest mix of black nylon Rotos and round wounds but the neck had managed to stay straight. The bass has had no neck or headstock repairs. It’s lovely to play and nice and light but resonant. It is a one trick pony but it does that trick very well and I found it very musical. The action is low and the string tension low so unplugged it’s quite buzzy. Played through an amp it sounds great but at the time I was using it I was recovering from a fretting hand op so playing it now it could probably do with the action raising. I’m out of action again with rotator cuff so can’t do this at the moment. The trussrod works properly and the frets have life in them but are probably due for a crown. I bought it with a pretty nifty home made case. I would think it rare to find one with all its original hardware. UK only sorry. No trades, pickup preferred so you can try it out but I can post if that’s difficult. It’s a gigged, vintage bass over half a century old so lots of finish checking (that looks gorgeous) and dings. The pictures show it strung with D’Addarios but the bass is now wearing Thomastik flats as per description. I’ve added more detailed pics.

  13. Thanks! I also have the natural ash and the transparent white versions. They really are great, I just don’t need 3!
  14. It is a Fender colour - it's a creamy yellow 😁 I think Fender calls it Yellowhite
  15. Leo was such a visionary, he designed bass pickups so that Lego Technic wouldn't have to👍
  16. Got another dep outing yesterday, helping to open proceedings at the Sheffield M2TM competition final at Corporation. To say that the doors opened at 13:30 and we were on at 13:40, there was actually a decent crowd pretty much straight from the start. I think some of that was possibly initially helped by there being 4 other guest bands and 5 competition bands on the premises at the time, but a crowd's a crowd and there were definitely increasing numbers of paying public there, too. Played well, enjoyed the gig, got positive feedback from people who'd seen us, and a box of lager from the band as a thanks for jumping in last-minute. Played my Rockbass Streamer LX 5 (which I bought as b-stock, fettled, gutted and re-wired passive) through a couple of new bits of kit which I bought as an aid to travelling light; a Fender Telepath wireless system and a Tech21 Bass Fly Rig v2. Went straight into the PA from the Fly Rig, and also into my Markbass Nano 2 on top of the house Blackstar 115 cab - pretty unnecessary if I'm honest, given the foldback on the main stage. The Fender wireless seems to be decent - perhaps functionally no more decent than any of the much cheaper 5.8GHz alternatives, but it feels solid and it performed flawlessly so I'm happy with it. The Fly Rig v2 sounds much better to me than the original version I had a few years back ever did - definitely keeping this one for when the full pedalboard isn't practical. Same black boots as usual.
  17. Thanks!
  18. Perfect for the start of "Blockbuster"
  19. Here are a set of LaBella flats in good condition although the silks are a bit scruffy. They were on my EBMM short scale Stingray for a while before I sold it on - they aren’t for me as I found the sound too dark. They are presumably cut for 2x2 or 3x1 headstocks. Price includes UK postage.
  20. Today
  21. I would buy this if I didn't already have two. I love the look and they feel so comfortable to play. This is a bargain.
  22. Our next show has just been pushed back a week but thankfully I hadn't plugged it with the wrong date on here. The amended poster is here.
  23. The German Cali tuners are now the same weight as Hipshot Ultralites. So that could be good.
  24. Reasonabke offers considered if hassle free exchange of goods us available. pm me if interested
  25. Hi @Matt P, hope the gig went well. Sorry I was preparing for my own gig so I picked it up too late, I suspect others were in the same boat. Perhaps you could tell us what you did and how it worked?
  26. So beautiful Good luck with the sale
