  1. Past hour
  2. Musically, I'll try and play for about an hour a day most days - whether it's structured practice, recording or noodling (usually a combination of all three). My main band rehearses most Sundays, and that's about 3 hours of playing. Physically, I'm training for a trek in India this year so at the moment I'm fairly fit as I'm exercising regularly (I'm just back from a morning on the the Brecon Beacons). Our main festival gig every year tends to go on for up to 4 hours, plus I help out with stage management and sound. I'm usually there the day before an the day after to help out with construction and breakdown of the stage and for the last couple of years I've played in a support band on the same day. All of that tends to be very tiring. For the last couple of years I've treated the main gig like a day of trekking - plenty of fluids and energy snacks to keep me going. 🙂 I don't know whether it helps, but I never drink and play.
  3. Bump for a pretty bass. GLWTS
  4. Here is my Sire P5 bass for sale. Alder body, roasted maple neck, 42 mm nut width, bone nut, weight is 4 kg or8.9 lbs. Bass is in very good condition just one small mark on the very end of the headstock. As the front and side dots were black and I couldn`t see them due to the roasted maple, I have fitted stickers on the face of the board and luminous stars that glow on a dark stage on the top edge. I will include a gig bag as well. Collection from Paisley or meet up within reason only, not looking for trades.
  5. Thanks Gezza1.it really is a cracking bass.😊
  6. I don't think I've seen any brown fog...
  7. It's a typical 60s, non-Fender type spacing. I had a Burns Sonic with the same "wide" spacing although both pickups were identical and the best sound was with them wired in series.
  8. I've been using eBay to buy and sell for over 20 years now and I have never paid anything to list an item for sale.
  9. Ain't Nobody - Chaka Khan
  10. They were losing out to Vinted so just copied their business model
  11. I also don’t gig regularly. I try to play about 30 minutes or more per day…lots more if I do have gigs coming up. I alternate between a band’s set list, other stuff I know, and new material.
  12. Ha, ha, cool... Sounds like a Mr. Bungle demo from the Disco Volante album that never made the cut.
  13. I only play gigs about once per month so as well as whatever practicing I normally do, I make sure that I run through some tunes at a fairly decent tempo a few times coming up to the gig just so I don't cramp up on the night.
  14. Get well soon! Name this board REV M, and make two more: REV S, and REV L. Everybody has extra pedals lurking in the corners: one board is never enough.
  15. Bought an envelope filter from Andy. Nice easy transaction with no problems. Would happily transact again. Cheers Andy 🙂
  16. Today
  17. Is There Anybody Out There - Pink Floyd
  18. Can You Hear Me? - Renaissance
  19. During lock down, to keep match fit, I set myself a task, to learn and chart every song on every Stevie Wonder album. I did that, and then started on Bonnie Raitt and Keb Mo albums. That kept my brain and fingers going, but nothing really compares to the physical effort required to gig.
  20. No it's still available!
  21. I've never been to Bristol, but I hope the fog doesn't look like that! Seriously, though, I feel sorry for anyone who recently bought a Junior Jet and can't buy this one now. It looks great!
  22. As someone of a certain age, and having Bronchiectasis (think COPD but not self-inflicted) I am interested whether any of you do anything to stay fit enough for gigging?
  23. It's exactly as @krispn says. For the life of me, I could never understand why they did that. I hated the tones from the "scooped" section of the travel, and there wasn't enough control in the regular tone section. Replaced it with a wonderful Stellartone Tonestyler, and never looked back, ably fitted for me by Feline Guitars for a tenner. Just curiosity really, I'm more of a P than a PJ-er.
  24. I took delvery of my new GS last week otherwise i would have ripped your arm for this!
