This great offer keeps coming back - availed myself of it a few weeks back. Don't be put off by the vague delivery times when you place the order - I don't know if they wait until enough orders come in to be able to buy it at the price they need, but in my experience, it starts off being months away and ends up winging your way in a couple of weeks.

Seconded. I've had very good experiences with both the matched M5 and X2 Rode M3's. I've since moved on from the M5's but the Rode M3's are used for lots of stuff. Both have low self noise and sound much better than hey should for the price.

I can happily recommend the ABM 600 and Barefaced Two10S combination

Oooo that's much nicer than the stock colours IMO!

This is painfully accurate :') They like to present themselves as innovative, when all their innovations date back to the 1980s or earlier and they haven't kept on innovating since- unless you count scrapping Leo's fairly unique Bi-cut neck with single-action truss rod in 2006, and replacing it with a more conventional double-action truss rod routed below the fingerboard, as on most modern guitars, and switching to a whopping FOUR neck bolts instead of three, and six on some basses. I love G&L, one of my guitars dearest to me is an American ASAT Special (one of the earliest with 4-bolt neck, but still with the bi-cut neck) and I've owned a few others in the past (another ASAT Special, a Legacy Special and an SB-2, all 3-bolts) and all of them were wonderful. I would hate to see the brand disappear.

Looking to have my white one repainted to this and have a mint guard so I did a quick mockup. Been a fan of Daphne blue since getting an AVII 60s Precision, but sold it to fund for a nice sounding P with great low B which is the SP1. But yeah just looking to personalise mine. Have been using this for many gigs now and been pretty happy with this thing. Still looking for someone who can nail this. I've only inquired so far with Chris from Bow Finishing(closest one to me as I'm based in SW London) and TDog customs and just waiting for their replies. {retty excited about this project!

How was Your rehearsal last morning or night ?

Is he just an idiot Dave ? I couldn't work with that and would have to explain to him that if the rest of the band can't hear him then mistakes will be made. Does he go thru the PA then put guitar thru the monitors so the rest of the band can hear him. Difficult when someone simply doesn't understand how a band actually works together. Feel for you mate. More from the UK. This is part one of a four-part mini-series. If you like Raveena and Jorja Smith, you might like this one too. Pip Millett - Love The Things You Do

Recommendation, being at the right place at the right time, being available, being seen. After that it's all about making others want you on the gig, getting your name to the top of their list.

Markbass 1 15 lightweight cabinet. Started life as a Markbass CMD JB Players School Combo but the amp failed. The amp was disposed of leaving a cheap and cheerful lightweight 1 15 cabinet 200w 8ohm. Unconventional connector- has fixed cable original to combo with speak-on plug attached Approx. dimensions (W x H x D): 47.5 x 46.4 x 48 cm Weight: a very manageable 14 kg, easy one hand lift looking for £125 collect meet up. Will be able to courier once I’ve sourced packaging material’s

Wireless Distorting with High Output Basses

Not 100 per cent sure - need to do some further investigation. Can't be the amp as I was feeding in ears directly from my Stomp XL - So could also be the stomp or the headphone amp. -
Dang it, rumbled!

You are Doctor Who and I claim my £5. ...

Same here. I usually ask the drummer if the bass is OK for him. Most of the guys I play with have good ears and it's always good to get confirmation from someone you know you can trust. I rarely gig with a different amp. If I do it's at a festival and whatever I do probably won't affect the sound out front. If the amp has an active EQ, always start with the controls at 12 o'clock. I don't care what I sound like at home. I'm working on songs so the sound is the least important thing going on.

Seriously good value if you use this brand / gauge - 2 sets for under £30 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0007MWDOC?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title Fill your boots! I clean my strings in a meths / denatured alcohol bath so I get several uses out of one set (never had one break yet!) and they come back bright and played-in. Cheers m'deers Andy W

Had a crappy one at the weekend. Ive recently joined a new band that rehearse at the singers living room. It normally sounds ok. Small amps and drum kit. Sunday was awful. the lead guitarist uses a Boss pedalboard and stupidly I mentioned he could use IEM's with it at some point, as he keeps going on about them. So now he uses just one, and because he is standing in front of the amp, turns the amp down(its only a really cheap 25watt combo but loud enough). I mentioned to him that I couldn't hear him, and his response almost made me walk out. "its ok, you dont need to.." WTAF!!!!. Because he is loud in his IEM he refuses to even acknowledge that the rest of us are struggling to hear him. Not once would he entertain turning his IEM down and amp up, because, well, we dont need to hear him. Later on we were working the ending of a song out, quite a few repetitive stops, and I said we need to decide on how many. He looked me in the eye and said 'im not going to count anything", just listen for (and he played a little riff). Bearing in mind I can't hear him I got really annoyed and we (he) argued that big bands dont work endings out etc. Am I being unreasonable getting annoyed with the above attitude? None of them have any experience with covers bands, only open mic nights. Id have walked had I not actually been enjoying the songs and playing. -

I think that particular model Fujigen (Greco and the other brands it was sold as) is the top of the tree for Japanese fakers. I'd place the Chushion (Shafty and other brands thereof) as just below. One issue I've seen with the Chushins is the binding can soften (or is it tighten?) and detach around the inner edge of the upper horn.

Just let people know you're willing to dep and you get asked. I turned one down a few days ago... I've gigged with four bands this month and depping as well is too much.

I'm a big fan of Palmer Passive Di boxes. They are very well built and sound great. I use the Wipper. https://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and-Lighting/Palmer-Wipper-Passive-DI-Box/4Z7Q

This doesn’t sound right to me, all my P basses which are up to 72 work clockwise to increase the volume and tone, don’t know why they would work in reverse

Here are some pictures of my Greco. (DId I just go off topic in my own thread?) It's a neckthrough, the original pickguard is white and it is a "high gain pickup" in it. I think the toaster one looks better. 🙂 If I remember it's built in 1989. Again, a big thank you to all of you that contributed to the thread. Both I and especially my friend are very greatful.

If if happens with the preamp switched out it is NOT a problem with the preamp as the circuit as drawn abovd totally isolates it. If there's a dc voltage on the output jack with the preamp switched out, then possibly it's an earth fault or maybe a partial short from the battery connection to the signal on the jack socket.
