  2. This Saturday night in Shoreham-By-Sea will be the debut performance for my brand new 'Doobie Brothers' tribute show. Featuring a 9 piece band with brass section & percussion, this has been a labour of love... and to say I'm excited, but anxious, would be an understatement! https://ropetacklecentre.co.uk/events/the-doobie-experience/
  3. OK, you've talked me into it! I've subscribed for a year. All the best with your new venture.
  4. Ive had my eye on a Schecter hellraiser, but bit too much at moment specially for a brand with low resale value.
  5. Some Weeds Among The Flowers !! John 😎
  6. Top man Kenny 🤝 it’s served me well. Will absolutely blow the trousers off it’s next owner will be sad to see it go but needs must
  7. I purchased this new in October last year. I bought it on impulse when I bought the TMB30 (may as well get "hanged for a sheep as a lamb"). The spec is listed below. The two controls are both stacked, volume and balance and bass and treble boost and cut. It has a great range of tones. I’ve never gigged it and it’s never left my music room. It is in mint condition. It weighs 8.9lb. I’m selling it as part of my wind down. The price includes UK delivery. 8. I like how he's got his lyrics written on his arm
  9. It takes a bit of experience...but I've never lost/wrecked a fretboard yet. The absolute must is NOT to rush and NOT to try to lever it off.
  10. I purchased this new in November last year. I was inspired to upgrade after buying an Ibanez TMB30. The spec is listed below. I’ve gigged it twice and it’s a fantastic bass. 11. Put an old 2 band in it then! The 2 band is the vital component. There's a few good videos looking at the EQ curve and shelving of the 2 band compared to the later preamps. The 3 bands don't just slap another control in the middle, the entire thing is different. My bitsa Pingray has the Aguilar M pickup and their spot on recreation of the original 2 band and it sounds like an original - and no weak G string either.
  12. So, playing in a female-fronted Americana trio, I thought it would be nice to have a low D available to me to widen out the tonal palette. When our own @olihayhurst advertised one of these on this very forum I couldn’t resist. When we were an electric band I used to do the same trick with the d-tuner on my fretless Tony Franklin precision bass, so I knew what to expect but I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by the accuracy and stability of tuning as you from E to D to E again. The supplied Hipshot instructions made installation easy, including trimming back the silks on the E string to clear the bridge. First gig with it will be this Saturday afternoon and I am looking forward to unleashing the low D on the unsuspecting passing trade at Billy Bootleggers in Newcastle upon Tyne.
  13. Welcome Jonathan.

  17. My uneducated guess is some connection desperately needing Deoxit. I would put cables to both FX loops, and if there are any other similar connections in the back (pre/power), put a cable there, too. If this doesn't help, the next place could be input jack solderings to the PCBA. After that the next steps would be all connections between boards, pots and so on. Deeper and deeper.
  18. Latin Vibes! Dadi Carvalho is a bassist and multi-instrumentalist from Brazil. By age 20, Dadi was already touring the world with Jorge Ben. Jorge Ben - Hermes Trismegisto Escreveu | Dadi
  19. Just bought a short scale jazz off Benedict, really helpful, great communication, packaging was brilliant 10/10
  20. These are not new but still sound and feel great! Ideal if you want to try nylon tape wounds without forking out £60 on a new set. Weird gauges of 40, 75, 90 and 115, however the tension is quite low.
  21. In Glorious Times had been suggested - but liking the deletion of an unnecessary space!
  22. Today it is "Unf*ck The World", by Prophets of Rage.
  23. No idea what model this is but it's definitely a schecter bass. I know he was a long term user of Washburn and Jackson basses
