Curious which Yamaha bass models you mean or just Yamaha basses in general? -
Becos CompIQ MINI Pro Compressor - £140 Delivered in UK. In brand new condition with box. Purchased from Joe's Pedals in May this year. I love compressors and like to try as many as possible. This one is fantastic and gives my favoured Keeley Compressor Pro a real run for the money. Once I dialled in my settings I couldn't tell them apart. The Becos is much cheaper and has several additional features. Potential buyers are welcome to try out in Glasgow. https://becosfx.com/product/compiq-mini-pro-compressor-pedal-for-guitar-bass/#description https://joespedals.com/collections/pedals/products/compiq-mini-pro-compressor

Do you think it might be obvious because it exists already? It certainly makes nut adjustments an absolute breeze either way. -

Saw this clip posted on Insta for promo. Looked snappy! Anyone know what video editing software likely to have been used? Insta promo clip.mp4 -
Ladies/gents. This Jazz PU is from a 'VM P/J bass' which Ive converted back to P bass only. Reason for the carnage? It's one of the nicest P bass's Ive ever played. Light weight, with a great neck and tone and as you'll see in the photo nicely re-done by yours truly with a vintage bridge and in my fav colour.....BMW Gold! These DD PU's are SD's sleepers and this J PU is 'honky' as it gets. I could get a really nice Jaco bark from it.. but that tone is not my thing hence the conversion. Fully adjustable pole pieces and the little cutout is just so the wires could run freer. Pic of bass after conversion is for reference only... Its defo not for sale. £30 plus say 3 quid for postage? Cheers

Yamaha have been making musical instrument since 1887 and pianos in 1900, which is why their logo is three tuning forks. -

It's a thing in the cello world as well "antiqued" - no, if I'm buying a new instrument I want is to look nice, not as if someone has thrashed it with branches off a holly tree -

The rear body point on series 1 Alembics were supposedly to make their owners use guitar stands, as the guy who started the company (I'm too lazy too Google...) was fed up of doing neck / headstock repairs on basses that had been typically just leaned against the amp and fallen over (as they do). Obviously this was ineffective with my '76 S1, as it's got a headstock repair (albeit a neat one) Have to say I personally like the "point" and "omega" body designs though I can live with most body designs, other than the truly fugly Warwick Buzzard. -

Thanks Phil. Lighting is often very much overlooked as being key to a live performance - certainly has been by me and my crew! On my agenda to upgrade our lighting set up over the next 12 months...

Cash Converters has a Mayones Cali Mini Fretless at a bargain

I love it, but I just know it'll mess up my muscle memory for when I play my fretless 34". As someone thats always had to live in shared housing, I appreciate the idea of having something small but luxury to move with... That said, you'd have to achieve some interesting wrist angles. -
Quick update. I love this bass so much I have just placed an order for a 4 string, 21 fret German Metroline. I am also in the process of agreeing the spec for an NYC. The Metroline is a catalogue item so should be ready much more quickly this time. I have been quoted 4-6 months. I've been quoted a year for the NYC.

K&M Memphis Pro stand. Top neck grab, legs fold in and it's telescopic so compacts down pretty small. From this to this: Set up, collapse down in seconds.
