43+ plugins for the price of 1, IK Multimedia: https://bedroomproducersblog.com/2025/10/21/ik-multimedia-group-buy-2025/ I think their servers are being seriously hammered though as the website is up and down like a yo-yo!! I've about 30 so far including the entire MODO Bass and MODO Drums suites.

That equals: B x £30 + g x £10 = £1000 g x £10 = £1000 - B x £30 B = 33 AND g = 1 Solved. Could you share some pictures of your basses, that g-word sidestep is not of importance.

Flipping basses for profit – fair game or not cool?
tegs07 replied to Allaboutthebass's topic in General Discussion
I guess I would fall into the ambivalent camp on this topic. Buying and selling anything involves a bit of risk and a bit of effort. If that leads someone to making a bit of profit then I am probably OK with it. If someone profits from something I sell, I don’t particularly care as it’s being sold for a reason. -

2005 Epiphone Embassy Special IV in dark blue. It's a flat colour, I have no idea why the camera has invented some kind of burst. Well balanced, lightweight bass just a little different to the norm. Has an Entwistle neodymium pickup (reverse P) and a Guyker high mass bridge. 22 fret neck. Matching headstock. Local sale preferred (Aberdeen) but will post at buyer's expense, or meet up at reasonable distance. Just looking to thin the pack a little, and have two cheapy reverse P basses in the stable. Weight is 3.6kg/7.94lb according to the bathroom scales.

I have two used Spector USA bass bridges that once belonged to NS2 basses I no longer own, I had taken these off in favour of black hardware. One is the heavy all-brass version, this has faded somewhat on the bass side. I’m not sure if this could be polished up. The other is the lighter, aluminium version, this one in better condition. It is considerably lighter. Note: these will not drop into a Euro bass without some re-routing to enlarge the space slightly. £150 for each bridge or £285 for the pair. Price includes UK shipping.

Idiot boy question: what diameter drainpipe do you need to buy to get an internal diameter of 64mm? How much difference does it make if you are out by a few mm?
-
Both bands primarily rehearse new material, although if a song goes wrong at a gig we'll decide whether it was a one-off or if we need to rehearse it. I'll upload the version of the song to work on to Dropbox for one band so we've got a single reference. For the other band, we have song name and artist name and the arrangements will get rejigged if there's a gob-iron solo (soloes tend to be gob-iron followed by guitar, rinse and repeat). There aren't many complex arrangements, it's mainly Dr Feelgood or old time rock'n'roll with the odd outlier. Where there are more complex arrangements, we follow the original.

What are your irrational prejudices? I have some bonkers ones...

I have some models of the same bass with opposite direction tuners. -

Software is awful - packaging says it comes with ToneX SE but it actually comes with ToneX CS which is much inferior and limits what can be downloaded from Tonenet. The standard ToneX one comes with ToneX SE. I'd have sent it back for this alone of my youngest hadn't damaged the packaging. Some of the captures are great - for what I do the clean mix is a godsend as I'm not a fan of Cab IRs without a blend. There's a night and day feel difference between this and standard modellers though. I saw great reviews about the SVT models but it's the Aguilar and GK Fusion models that have impressed me. Some of the stompbox drive options are good too. Hope this helps... any more info needed let me know!

Works for me... I hate the feel of flats, so I rarely play them, and they last ages! 😁 -

I never did get it, managed to get it turned round after thinking better of my £800..

Good idea also. Velcro is also handy if there are suitable flat smooth surfaces. The dovetail approach appeals as it’s easy to extend the idea to different cabs
