  1. Past hour
  2. Probably my all time fave live gig was seeing the Zap at Hammersmith Odeon. What a treat. He's out there , for sure.
  3. That reminds me, who ate all the Hobnobs in the GM black helicopter?
  4. A CPD is a different document. As far as a carnet goes...In the good old days when I used to do a bit of tour managing, the turns kit would be carneted in and out of countries regardless of whether they were with it or not (ie. Air Freight vs a bus, for instance). The key demarcator as to whether you need a carnet for your kit or not is if you are being paid for what you do, as I understand it anyway, but I've always found that quite a lot is subject to the whim of the individual customs agent...
  5. We Welcome to the club !!
  6. This 3D-4 still available? I need to check the attic in a bit as I'm pretty sure I already have one stashed away somewhere - but if I can't find it then I'll be back for this one! Wal.
  7. There's this allusion that you need to buy these angled shims for £££, because anything else will have an adverse effect on tone (chortle) and sustain (chortle, again). Just make sure the neck is straight, then pop in a bit of playing card, business card, sandpaper, cornflake box into the back of the neck pocket, screw the neck back on and continue the set up. There's probably hundreds/thousands of vintage Fenders that have never had the neck off that are harbouring all manner of horrors in the pocket, and nobody is complaining about those not housing $30 StewMac shims.
  8. Can’t say I’ve ever heard that one before 😁
  9. You are Bruce Forsyth AICMFP.
  10. Or not that kind of stuff. 😄
  11. A new 1st take, but less improvised, improved and more compact version of a little hard rock boogie I made up, for a demonstration of how the 1 octave down of the Boss XS-1 Poly Shifter sounds blended with dry signal. Utilizing my 28.6" scale 5 string Ibanez GSRM25 Mikro Bass tenor bass, tuned to E standard tuning, using a pick. Also starring is the EHX English Muff'n (Marshall based genuine tube overdrive). (track illustration by me as well)
  12. I have a couple of K&K sound systems pickups on bobuzouki and mandolin, which were supplied with K&K's own tape. That works really well.
  13. In theory that should be all you need, but I am in the UK, and on a computer without a vpn, so I can't check, but the 'this is blocked in your country' seems fine to me. Oh embedding maybe be not working as the server is in the UK so it can't actually access it to embed it?
  14. Is he that man of the people, ex banker bloke who lives in Belgium, had a german wife but has an issue with the EU, Brussels and immigration?
  15. "Hello Nottingham! I just need to nip out for a part, but I'll be done within the hour when I get back. This is Moonchild! 1, 2, 3, 4..."
  16. RIP maestro. My favourite player, and a true genius. His playing on Electric Rendezvous was outrageous, and made me realise just what you can do with a pick. He took the Jamerson chromatic approach and expanded it into all the artists he played with. I was sad to read he had health issues and had to stop playing; I hope he is at peace now.
  17. a bit of audience interaction is a good thing, nothing worse that long silences between songs or incoherent mumble from someone who is clearly out of their comfort zone, though on occasions as @asingardenof said it can go on too long, and please, no preaching to the crowd, it's bound to upset someone
  18. This was some bloated Vauxhall Grandland, I doubt a club full of guys could have bounced the bloody thing.
  19. In my last band the singer was very good at the onstage patter, and many seemed to really like it. From a performers point of view it gave me a chance to take a breath/drink etc so I was all for it. But as an audience member, couldn’t care less.
  20. Got one of these... nice unit, sounds great. Lots of gain manipulation options. GLWTS
  21. Yes it is.
  22. Now £350.00. This amazing emulation of the acoustic control corporation 360 preamplifier with variamp and built in fuzz is up for grabs. Hand made by the renowned JC Maillet and commissioned and imported by myself at great cost. I have used the 360+ for studio recordings, gigs, rehearsals and at home, it has never dissapointed. The preamp sounds fantastic and the fuzz section is the best I have used. I have owned this pedal for a good few years from new, as can be seen it's in pristine condition. Specially sourced UK power supply also included. Will happily run from other sources with the right leads (I used it with a trex chameleon). Fully detailed printed instruction manual also included. Only available as I have more preamplifiers than I can use. Try out/collection always welcome, or UK insured postage for £15.00

  23. Thing is though, I'm not in the UK....
  24. Bump for this bargain. You could buy this and @theplumber's 1x15 and have yourself a sweet Genz Benz rig for £275!
  25. It won't show up on screens in the UK, as Imgur have decided not to comply with certain recent UK laws about child protection. The answer, for me, was to scrub Imgur completely and post directly into BC, like this (your photo, naturally...)... Not ideal, but d'ems de breaks.
