Hi folks I'm potentially needing a bass collected, packed and couriered to Scotland if anyone can recommend a local courier in Lichfield. Or if you are making such a journey then I'll happily reimburse you for your troubles. Appreciated. Ian.

While nowhere near as bad as they used to be i find Reverbs Fee's to still be a little off putting, I've also started to get a lot of Fraudulent "sold" Spam, I reported this via there system but the messages are still coming in from various accounts.. here's the last one (minus the "hot ink") Hey, Your item has been sold on Reverb. This message includes a link where you can look over your account details. There’s no rush and it doesn’t take long — most people just skim through the info and move on. This step usually comes up around this point as the sale wraps up,http://*****.org/lkajdo just to keep everything aligned in the final stage. Once you’ve had a look, you can leave it there. The rest of the process continues without any follow-ups or extra steps. If something catches your eye while you’re checking, you can always reach out — but generally it’s a quick pass and that’s it. Delivery Team Seems Reverb have a problem they can't fix.....

I recently purchased this from a small solo builder. Fantastic build quality and to my ears it's identical to the Darkglass I had. I had no need for a DI like the original, this doesn't have one. So it's just a killer dirt box. It was a kind of impulse purchase for me, as awesome as it is I've really no use for it sadly (I can get similar with what I already have) . I put it on my board but it's had very little use so it's as new. £93 posted. Always happy to hear trades w.h.y(possibly another vintage micro tubes)👍 I forgot to take a pic, but I've put fresh pedal tape on the bottom (I can remove if needed)

Just another reason Reverb's the place to shop
miles'tone replied to jd56hawk's topic in Bass Guitars
I'm not a fan of Reverb now. Used it a bit in the past with no issues whatsoever, but last year I wanted to list some items and found that my account was suspended for some reason. It started to become a right faff to get it working again so I left it. Couldn't be ars£d. Ebay is super easy now so I just use them if I have no success on Basschat. -
Origin Effects BassRig Ampeg B15 Fliptop recreation
Al Krow replied to Quatschmacher's topic in Effects
Can't remember whether you ever went down the Ampeg SGT DI route? I've just come across this: Ampeg SGT-DI vs Origin effects Bassrigs - Effects - Basschat and quite a few BC'ers are really liking how Ampeg are delivering an authentic Ampeg sound! -

Versus the rest of the GX range, I can see a new drive: SA DI DRIVE This models a TECH21 SANSAMP BASS DRIVER DI. New amps: ACOUSTIC - Might be in the guitar list on the GX-10/100 This is the optimal amp for acoustic bass and similar instruments. SUPR FLAT An amp with flat tonal characteristics. FLIPTOP This models the Ampeg B-15. SW-TOUR This models the SWR SM-400. A new Glitch delay too. Hopefully they'll make their way to the rest of the GX range...

johnbiffa started following Wayne Jones WJBP1 Pre Amp
-
As 1 cab is on hold I thought I would list the WJBP1 preamp/DI separately. In excellent condition with original packaging and foot pedal and can be supplied in small flight case at no cost. Notes from Wayne Jones: My perfect sound was an Avalon 737 studio pre through my WJ powered cabs. So I set out to design a bass pre-amp that truly reproduced your bass sound & thus enabled you to tailor your sound. Also the tone controls had to work in the right areas & the pre had to have all the bells & whistles we need to do our job. Again no expense spared, just the highest quality components I could get for everything we need on stage & in the studio. These were my Instructions to my Engineer. I have achieved that with the WJBP This pre will also make front of house engineers happy as what goes in comes out. The WJBP is designed with a no compromise attitude in Cost, Quality, Components & Features just as are WJ High End High Powered Bass Cabinets. Features Input 1/4” phono stereo/mono jack Input Gain For both Passive & Active basses -10 Db pad Input Gain clip Indicator LEDS (top left corner) Tone controls are critically set by Wayne & are extremely accurate in the attack points of each string. You can set them by one for each string on your bass All +15Db -20 Db Incredible separation between the tone controls There is also a 30 Hz boost for those that may like it ( not really needed at all as the Bass control gives such a great bottom end with ultimate attack). In/out button for selection Compressor: Optical, automatically senses & is very effective even with a very small amount engaged. In/out button for selection Balance: This is a balance control for stereo operation e.g. 2 WJ 2x10 or Stereo WJ 1x10 Powered cabs. Master volume Controls output Pre-Amp Output Indicator LEDS (top right corner) tell you if you are overloading the WJBP output Mute - Puts the WJBP in standby mode. LED Indicates when in use. The Mute mode should also be used for power up of the WJ Powered cabs, otherwise a very loud 1000watts will sound when WJ Powered cab (or separate power amp) is turned on. It also operates the built in Tuner. For standard tuning for 4, 5 & 6 string basses Foot switch mutes all output for silent tuning. Master Outs 2 balanced XLR (recommended) outs for connection to WJ powered cabinets or to separate power amps Balance control on from panel will affect these outputs. Also a choice of 2 Unbalanced 1/4" outputs for same function. (not recommended as output is lower) All master outs can be used together as a pair or Individually with balance control set to the respective output FX Send & Return - Stereo or mono Foot switch - Mutes all output DI Output - Balanced XLR out with Level control & ore or post EQ button Aux Input - Stereo input, both 6.3mm & 1/4” phono. You an use this to plug items such as iPad, iPhone backing tracks etc. to play along with. Headphone With Volume Control - Plug in your headphones to practise with. You can use the WJBP by itself without plugging into a power amp. I've been driving that loco for as long as I can remember. The footpegs had a little set higher up where my sister and I would sit in front of dad at steaming days and eventually we learnt to drive it. MKMS had no fixed track at the time so it was fete after fete in the summer. Moving clubs to Northampton SME with their fixed track at Delepre was a joy with monthly running days. Night running with BBQ in summer.

Nice, looks good. I like the hexagon buttons that light up - very clear to see what effects are on/off and is quick to edit their parameters. I'm not sure but perhaps a bit confusing with the labelling as isn't it the case that the effects won't always be in that order? It looks like it is limited to about 8x effects in the chain and it seems there is no parallel signal processing, the effects list looks similar to the other GX pedals and the and GT (perhaps a couple of slight niche limitations like the Tape Echo has upto 3 playback heads and I seem to remember the GT having upto 4). I don't think those things are really much of an issue, it is quite rare to really need signal chains with more than 8 things on and most of the effects have clean blends. No effects loop could be an issue for some. A couple of nice features that aren't on the more expensite GX and GT pedals: Can be battery powered (4x AA batteries), and built-in bluetooth for playing along to. For fitting in the gig bag for rehearsals and being battery powered I'd quite like to see an even more compact version without the expression pedal as you do have the option to add one. That smaller size would also be good for fittting it onto pedalboards like people do with the Stomp and Core, fx loop would be useful for that use though. So yeah, looks good - but a smaller version without the expression pedal but with fx loop would be ideal for me. £228 from Thomann ....GX-10 is £70 extra and that has bigger screen that's a touchscreen, parallel processing, longer effects chains, effects loop, but doesn't have bluetooth or battery power or the hexagon lights so it's a tough call.

For sale, my Octave Mandola OR Octave Mandolin (they are the same thing). Shorter scale than an Irish Bouzouki, this one is tuned GDAE in unison pairs (or courses). Condition is excellent, not quite mint and includes a nice TGI gig bag that is a perfect fit. Mandola is in Hope Valley (S33 6SB) for local collection or I could deliver locally too. Could attempt uk posting but it isn't as solid as a bass so I'd be a bit wary of that.

Virtually new Fender Bassman 100 cover from Roqsolid, i got it to use while my flightcase was being manufactured so was only used briefly. Its a little dusty but will wipe. They're about £65 new + shipping Cover is in Hope Valley, happy to post within UK, probably gonna cost a tenner just for how small it doesn't fold up.

Yep not even tannin stains. Originally three of the mugs featured glorified images of Trump, Musk and Tate. They disappeared, presumably upset someone who didn't realise it was satire... -

Good ideas, the reason I asked is that I am about to host an Open Mic night and I want to reduce the amount of alien saliva reaching the microphones. The colour coding makes the case on its own. I cannot claim copyright on the term Mic Condom, a former band mate coined that term.
