One of the things that happens as you get older, you realise that time is precious and you lose the willingness to waste it trying to sort people/organisations out. I have wasted years being a part of clubs/groups, where I should have walked away. I wasted 15 years or more on several groups where I was heavily involved in the organisation and running. You eventually realise they don't care - they plug you in, use you, throw you away, like a disposable battery.

Somenone has donated this DB to the college I work in. Fair play to them. However this bit has come off. I know I should boil up some bones etc. That is not going to happen. What do I use? Someone (a 5 year old?) has tried something but that popped as soon as there was any tension. I would also welcome suggestions for clamping for someone who has no clamps.

Its an odd one Daryl as when it was first suggested in our band we all thought it was an excellent advertising aid for posters and sending to venues as a part of a package to get bookings. Doesn't cost a fortune to hire someone maybe at one of your more high profile gigs. I don't really understand why they wouldn't be up for it ? I'm lost on that one Daryl. Dave

NBD: 1995 Stingray + mods reversal + blender strangeness!
HeadlessBassist replied to HeadlessBassist's topic in Bass Guitars
Thanks @borntohang and @Jack - did the screwdriver test this morning and you're absolutely right - The blend control has been connected separately to each coil. Sounds fantastic as is with both coils running, so I'm going to leave well alone for the time being. -

Couldn't help it in all seriousness though, it is a v.neat idea. I'm normally wireless these days, but I'll try it next time I'm wired. -

I've been meaning to try one of those new Standards - the ceramic pickup is apparently very good in these. What was the build quality like? -
