  2. I still love a BB, although these days the weight has taken them away from me... 🙁
  3. There's a place we play I call The Weasel Dust Palace, which turns into a club (we basically play on the dance floor, it's a nightmare packing down around people who immediately invade the band space once the DJ starts) as soon as we finish, and recently they rebuilt the sound system with 18" subs in the walls and a generally bigger system. The DJ is the owner's teenage son, and the sound level as we were packing down last time was unbelievable - you could feel the air moving the hairs on your arms - I had to put my inears back in (unplugged) it was so loud...
  4. https://thehi-fis.co.uk/gary-unwin/ I'm digging all those early leftie basses!

  7. I think a nano-sized one will be announced today, based on the hype... The big box ones seem to be aimed at connoisseurs or collectors. Looks like ~6000 were made, with 300 of those in yellow for whatever 'Third Man Hardware' is.
  8. No Fkn Problem - Suicidal Tendencies
  9. Nord Electro 4D 61 Keyboard Weighted Waterfall SW61 Superb Nord Electro keyboard - this has all the classic acoustic and electro mechanical keyboards you could wish for for live and studio performances. Rhodes and Wurlitzer electric pianos, acoustic grands and uprights Hammond, Farfisa and Vox organs. It even has Mellotron and Chamberlain samples, plus strings, harps and guitars. This version also has drawbar control. It’s a classic in its own right but still updateable using the Nord site and sample library. Included is the keyboard, user manual, mains lead, damper pedal, sample library on CD plus a nice heavily padded gig-bag. I have added a custom ‘half moon’ switch to control the rotary speaker simulation from the keyboard rather than using a foot switch like an old Hammond. If you collect in person I’ll also include a stand. The price is non-negotiable and sorry no trades. It is feasible to post but only in the UK and at your cost and risk. See pics - I’ve not gigged it but have used it in rehearsals occasionally. To be honest it’s been used at home as a piano and the other wonderful sounds have been wasted! Selling as I use my old Korg live as I’m not worried about it being knocked about and I’m going to buy a simple piano for home use.

  10. Even the VM2 has this, and it uses the same body style, same bridge pickup, same everything. I don't know why they don't do it for the standard VM either. One possible reason that occurs to me now that I've done it: The P pickup in the VM5 is extremely powerful and cuts through just about anything, so Sandberg may be worried that users would complain about a perceived volume drop when using both pickups and splitting the humbucker. On the TM basses, I assume the neck pickup might be a little weaker, and therefor balances better with both the full humbucker and the split one. I haven't done any proper analysis yet though - I'm not sure if there is an actual volume drop between the P/humbucker combo and the P/split combo. It might also be that it's just a perceived volume drop because a lot of the midrange gets scooped out in that center position. Most likely it's a combination of both.
  11. I felt terrible last but one gig a few weeks ago, but did it anyway. Then I did a test and found out I had covid. Thenn the rest of the band got covid!
  12. If a screw terminal UK mains plug has been properly constructed and competently wired, then there shouldn't be a problem even if the screws do work loose. 1. The conductor wires can't come apart from the terminals on the plug contacts because there is nowhere for them to go with the cable clamp in place. 2. Even if the screws come completely out of the holes there is nowhere for them to go as they are captured by the construction of the plug casing. I haven't tried this but I suspect that there probably isn't enough room in the plug casing for them to become completely unscrewed anyway. 3. The cables inside the plug can't be moved by external forces because the cable clamp at the entry point prevents this.
  13. Bought a Boss multifx from Ben. Pedal was in excellent condition (as always), sold to me for a very fair price, and another super smooth transaction
  14. Sandberg has an special edition in Capuccino burst, my favourite finish ever, that has this possibility. I can't understand why the TM models has this option but the VM don't, it would be better.
  15. Nice example of a 2022 Made in Mexico Player Precision, and light too at 8.3lbs. Can do with either black tort or white plates as per pics. Holes in the headstock where I added the Hipshot triple retainer. No case or gigbag so collection/meet only. No trades thanks.

  19. This is really helpful, thanks!
  20. If worried about the screws backing out, loosening the connection, then perhaps a threadlocker might be a solution? You can get different strengths, one that makes a connection that can be broken, and a stronger one for a more permanent connection. We have two different types of plug sockets in our living room. There’s the normal one, and then there’re are ones that have round pin holes. Those are for lights and are controlled by switches next to the main light switch.
  21. Bass now collected. Exactly as described and it plays amazingly well. Thanks for coming half way to meet me as well.
  22. I can see a difference if I look close enough, but I never thought I needed to. Surprised they managed to print the name on them but I didnt even know it was there until I decide to look for it last night. So the IE100's (clear) are a little less transparent compared to the clear IE400 Even worse, she stopped using them about 6 months ago (I didnt know this), because one of he foam tips ripped off and she assumed they were special fits so she brought a £20 set of those nasty Chinese ones (not KZ's), and has been using them. So my IE400's were disgarged.

  25. Hahahaha. They are really the exact same in size. My IE100 are red and my IE400 are black, so I cannot confuse them. Yesterday, I used my IE400 in a gig and I find that the IE100 and 400 are very similar. I think the 400 sound a little bit better, but since I have my 100 with custom molds, I may be using them more hehe.
