  2. I'm trying to work out if you're trying to be funny or not. 🤔 I am looking for an overdrive that will sound good to me when I am wearing my IEMs and wanted to know what overdrive pedals other IEM users were using
  3. Now priced at £325 - I have to go to the Post Office every day this week so discounting the trip to save me an extra journey later! ... I've been collecting and pedal-testing solidly since COVID but a lot's been happening this year and, as my priorities are changing, it's time to start letting some of these pedals go, including those that six months ago it would have been unthinkable selling. I recently listed a couple of Doom 2s, one in Cosmic finish and a high gain unit in Jade Sparkle. This time I've got a Bronze Age unit on the block from the March 2025 edition of 111 for £360. The unit is the standard gain model and is basically new in box. The price includes Royal Mail Special Delivery UK postage. I'm not really looking for trades at this point but there are a handful of pedals I'm curious about: COG T-70 v2; Hamstead Subspace GE, and Chase Bliss Spectre.
  4. This is HMRC's sudden obsession with "side hustles", as they want to scrape a bit more income from the average person on the street/Clapham omnibus rather than Reeves introduce a wealth tax or bring CGT in line with income tax or do anything significant to get more money from the very rich.

  6. I would absolutely endorse having a go yourself. You can get a decent finish with rattle cans (I started with cans from Northwest Guitars before getting spray guns etc) and sprayed in the garden with the body screwed to a bit of wood as a painting stick tucked under my arm! Admittedly it is more challenging this time of year with the weather 😂. You could always knock up a bit of a backdrop out of some cardboard boxes and spray in the open door of a garage or a shed but definitely get respirator that can deal with Volatile Organic Compounds off eBay or Amazon. Decent protection is cheaper than you think and the VOCs will make you feel like crap if you don’t. Make sure you get either nitro or 1k paint/finish such as polyurethane as 2k stuff(it has a separate hardener) has isocyanates which is as nasty as it sounds and needs decent extraction and a positive pressure respirator to be safe. Body prep is everything and the more time you spend on that such as sanding, grain filling, sealing before you start painting will reap absolute dividends and a better finish I personally find nitro finishes more forgiving than poly as they flash off and dry quicker which is a plus if you are spraying in the open as it means less sanding of dust nibs, dead flies etc 😫. If you do use nitro, it really needs to cure for a couple of weeks after the final coat before you can do the final sand and polish and it can remain quite soft during that time which I learned after leaving what I thought was a cured body on a soft patterned towel. It left the imprint of the towel material in the finish🤬 You can also get some shrink back into pores if you haven’t put enough coats on or sealed the wood adequately. Poly is more durable, needs less coats and cure time but takes longer to dry between sprays and also doesn’t melt into the previous layer in the same way nitro does. I also found that rattle can poly doesn’t go on as well as nitro and I got better results with wipe on poly(make it yourself by thinning normal poly rather than buy it) than spraying it. Practice on a scrap bit of wood first to get the hang of the spraying and it’s is better to spray more thin coats spaced out than fewer thick ones. Hopefully @slowTwitch, that has given you some options and I’m sure whichever route you choose, be it car sprayer, luthier or have a go yourself, you will get the result you want.

  8. My moonlight blue P34. Did have a 735a and was after a P35 but as is the way of things, I ended up with the 4 string. No complaints. Great bass! 8
  9. Pedal Board A the FTT EQ is excellent if certainly more than what I probably require
  10. Fender blacktop jazz bass. Only played a few times, excellent condition. Includes original fender hard case. Made in Mexico, 2013 model. Champagne/pearl colour. I have swapped the pick guard for the purple tortoise shell. Original black pick guard comes with sale. A few of the pick guard screws have some rust on. All specs can be seen in the last few pictures. Sad to get rid of it but I am no longer the bassist in a band so have little use for it. Sounds incredible, the dual split coil pick ups give an amazing tone. Any questions feel free to ask.

  11. Although I don’t use IEMs live, the boomy bottom and overtly top don’t point to poor sealing of the buds. Try the setup at home, directly from your DI to your P2 and see what you think of the sound both with a “perfect seal” and deliberately ruining the perfect seal.
  12. A little something for all you short-scale aficionados as I know it can be challenging to find a smaller bass that is not your run of the mill mass produced fare. This body is custom made by me from one solid piece of Walnut. It has been oil handed sanded with Liberon Finishing Oil and finished with nitro satin clear coat. It will have a 30” maple neck with chrome retrovibe lightweight tuners. Pickups will be Tonerider Precision Plus paired with a Bloodstone Guitarworks P bass loom. Hardware includes chrome Gotoh bridge and Schaller type strap lock buttons. I’m hoping to get it all buffed and put together this weekend with more photos to follow. This unique custom bodied beauty will be going on sale soon with an anticipated price of £795 ono including a Fender shortscale gig bag. Drop me a DM if this bass makes your GAS come alive!

  13. Thank you. It’s a lovely sounding pedal. Price wise, hard to pin it down, so please let know if I’m stabbing in the dark and have an offer for me good folk of BC.
  14. I would have preferred the Z3 to the Z7 I had. The Z3 has the straight ahead 3EQ and no neck pickup to get in the way. I like the popsicle blue colour best but I'd have one of the sparkle finishes too.
  15. SPB1s are fantastic in my experience.

  21. For sale is my Mesa Boogie WalkAbout Scout 1x15 combo amplifier… it’s a legendary bass amp known for its huge tone, warmth, and portability. This is the 1x15 version, which is significantly rarer than the more common 1x12 Scout, and widely regarded as having deeper low-end, more authority, and a bigger, more “old-school” punch while still retaining the WalkAbout’s trademark clarity and growl. The amp is in fantastic condition and fully working with no issues whatsoever. Everything functions exactly as it should and it sounds absolutely superb — warm, punchy, and incredibly musical at both low and high volumes. It will also be supplied with two spare valves, giving peace of mind for the next owner. This is a hard amp to find in this configuration and is becoming increasingly sought after. I can offer a delivery on this please get in touch to discuss Specifications • Power: 300W @ 4Ω / 165W @ 8Ω • Preamp: Hybrid valve preamp (2 × 12AX7) • Speaker: Mesa Boogie 15” driver • EQ: 4-band active EQ with semi-parametric mids • Extras: Passive radiator design, effects loop, DI output, tuner out • Format: Compact, portable combo with massive low-end response • Made in: USA

  24. I've been collecting and pedal-testing solidly since COVID but a lot's been happening this year and, as my priorities are changing, it's time to start letting some of these pedals go, including those that six months ago it would have been unthinkable selling. I'm selling a Doom 2 in Jade Metallic finish. It's from the September 2023 release of 100 pedals and has been given the 'high gain' mod by Spencer at 3 Leaf Audio. The mod makes it a little harsher and more abrasive than the standard gain units but it gets synthy and still has the Doom 2 magic. The mod was originally aimed at guitar players so I'm pricing it at £320 £300 on here. Cosmic Metallic pedal sold. Original ad retained for transparency: Up on the block are a couple of Doom 2s, one being the standard gain unit (in Cosmic Metallic (the purple one)) SOLD and a high gain unit (in Jade Sparkle)). Both units are from the limited runs of 100 in 2023 and are the latest spec. £360 each (including UK Royal Mail Special Delivery postage). Neither has been used on a pedalboard and they're basically mint in box. The Wicked theme was not intentional. I'm not really looking for trades at this point but there are a handful of pedals I'm curious about: COG T-70 v2; Hamstead Subspace GE, and Chase Bliss Spectre.
  25. Welcome! I can't keep up with your release schedule on BandCamp (can anyone??) but I bought and had "I'm still here" on repeat for ages after you released it, just a great album to listen to properly.
  26. I wanted a few arco pieces to work on so I put this one togethers also. The theme from the Spielberg movie 'Schindler's List'. Composed by John Williams and played by Itzhak Perlman. I wanted to try the piece moved around to make it playable on the double bass. It doesn't really work as the range is not there and some of the jumps are probably too much so think of it as a practice piece. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/theme-from-schindlers-list-arranged-for-arco-bass/
