  3. I have one of these, I had to get something bigger to fit my bongo, its the only one the bongo fits in well as its got a bit of a spikey headstock. In fact all things fit in it apart from the Sei 42", that doesn't fit anything. If you say how big the mayones is I will tell you if it is long enough
  4. Set of rack mount bars for a GK RB amp. I haven’t owned a GK amp for several years but they would have come off of either a 1001RB II or a 700RB III as I owned both. The bars are complete with all parts including screws. No trades thanks. Price includes shipping to locations within the UK. I took the photos myself and I am blind, so my apologies if they look like they were taken by a drunk person.

  6. I fancy one of these, does anyone know if it has sufficient internal length to fit my Mayones Jabba? It has a slightly longer scale length than 34 inches and doesn't quite fit in my Contego gig bag.

  8. Up for sale is my 2011 Loar LH-309-VS archtop guitar in great condition. The stock P90 pickup has been replaced with a Kent Armstrong Vintage Icon Alnico II one, with the pots replaced with CTS ones, and a Switchcraft jack used. The neck angle on this one is perfect, and the action is currently 2mm at the 12th fret, with scope to go lower if required. A wonderful sounding guitar, both unplugged and through an amp, that plays really well. Collection from Beccles, Suffolk much preferred. I do have a box so posting is an option.

  9. I don't see what's wrong with adding a second Orange cab if the OP likes the sound of the first, and the impedance works for the amp. Who cares if it's isobaric and therefore not the most efficient use of drivers? It's still compact, goes reasonably loud and since the drivers are neo it's not particularly heavy. Just think of it as a 112 that sounds how it sounds.

  12. I've enjoyed owing ACGs with both the smaller scalloped carve and the more general profile per the Mk1 above. My preference is the more standard carve for reasons expounded by young @neepheid above.
  13. I understand your curiosity ! but I'd rather not do it myself since the ramp seems to be securely attached to the body. I mean I don't think there's any problem removing it but perhaps during a routine visit to a luthier ? Thanks for your comment!
  14. Purchased from bass bros. Selling for 20% less to account for private sale. you may know these are rare. Collectors item. And I believe this is one of two in the UK. Someone can chime in to confirm. Willing to go for a trade more so on BC - before this ends up on a commission sale. See what’s about. Postage is possible. It’s in essentially showroom condition. Only signs of use are on the scratch plate - a case queen. New Enie ball lights on. 20 mins of play. on the heavier side feels around the same as my 2002 stingray and Jazz bass selling as I have not given it enough love. I’m too scared to dent it. To be honest it’s not even been on my rack as I’m worried to scratch it just sitting in the case. it’s a really versatile sounding bass.   17. It’s not really created by a luthier when almost everything is CNC/machine made and assembled though is it? I get what you’re saying though, the quality of lower end instruments is ridiculously good and seems to be getting better all the time. Not sure what it’s down to, competition or new manufacturing methods maybe but the cheaper end of the market has never been better.
  18. Cosmic Metallic pedal sold. I've been collecting and pedal-testing solidly since COVID but a lot's been happening this year and, as my priorities are changing, it's time to start letting some of these pedals go, including those that six months ago it would have been unthinkable selling. Up on the block are a couple of Doom 2s, one being the standard gain unit (in Cosmic Metallic (the purple one)) SOLD and a high gain unit (in Jade Sparkle)). Both units are from the limited runs of 100 in 2023 and are the latest spec. £360 each (including UK Royal Mail Special Delivery postage). Neither has been used on a pedalboard and they're basically mint in box. The Wicked theme was not intentional. I'm not really looking for trades at this point but there are a handful of pedals I'm curious about: COG T-70 v2; Hamstead Subspace GE, and Chase Bliss Spectre.

  21. In fact, it all depends on what ergonomics you're after which will be highly different if you play sitting or standing, offering the best for both positions is the challenge. Having owned and played close 1000 different basses, I can tell you that this challenge is still up to date. For the sitting position, the Human Base ClassX is close to perfection as the body is carved for this purpose, putting the bass at the right position instantly. That said, as @Kiwi mentioned, the Strandberg design is quite effective too, if you put the bass on your right thigh using the closest to the bridge position. Also remember that headless basses are often more ergonomics as the tuners and the headstock are anti-ergonomics... For the standing position, I think the Leduc and Le Fay basses are certainly amongst the most ergonomics basses and quite right for the sitting position.
  22. The only cable I use is ultra low capacitance, oxygen free, double wrapped with Kevlar, gluten free hemp covering and the copper was mined on a Tuesday. It’s the only stuff I use.
