Yes, I didn't like to show off, but I guess it was obvious from the size of the stack that something was up -

Bat out of hell might get into the top 20. And maybe another Bowie track or two. Given the worship for Prince on here, it's a bit surprising that he hasn't put in an appearance. -

Very much a subjective opinion. 700 and 770 use the same drivers. I prefer (and own) the 770, especially if you want fuller bass, but that's just my choice. YMMV.

FANTASTIC You can have my 15 quid now if you want What, even my virtually-intravenous coffee addiction? Can I put in a cheeky early bagsy for a dementia/Alzheimers charity? Sadly, a cause that is very close to home.

P bass - Pickup recommendations- weird one.

The DiMarzio pickups usually have adjustable pole pieces so you can set the pickup heights in the usual way but fine tune the volume of each string by either lowering or raising the pole pieces with an alien key. -
Small, articulate Bass Cab in excellent condition complete with a Roqsolid cover which is also in excellent condition and cost over Β£90 alone. Dual Speakon / 1/4β Jack input & link. The OR-110 is a front-ported lightweight 1 x 10β cab with a custom designed Ashdown speaker β making the perfect companion for the OriginAL Head or extension for the OR-C112 combo to achieve the maximum output from the 300-watt power section. Or for any Bass Amp or combo with an 8ohm speaker output. The cabinet is constructed using premium grade far eastern ply and is wadded to retain specific frequencies. The fine-tuned reflex port allows for more air to be moved, giving the little cab a surprising volume. Rated at 150 watts at 8 ohms, the OR-110 is one of the most portable cabs on the market. Adding further convenience, there is a top mounted grab handle positioned to offset the weight of the speaker magnet for ease of transport. For those pub gigs, pairing two of the OR-110 cabs provides enough volume to keep up with most drummers without having to DI through the PA. Otherwise β one OR-110 cab alone sits very well as a personal stage monitor, when using the OriginAL Headβs on-board DI to feed the front of house PA. Ashdown have focused their product offering over the past few years, delivering some really inspiring products focused towards the needs of the modern bass player. The OR-110 is no exception to the rule, building on the success of the OriginAL Range and adding something of real value to bass players delivering everything you need from a compact rig solution. The OR-110 Specifications are as follows: H:360mm 14.1β W: 390mm 15.3β π§ 360mm 14.1β Weight: 10.7KG (23.5lbs) Power: 150w Impedance: 8 ohms

Another endorsement for either Adam or Kali monitors. I have a set of Adam AX7s which, you may be able to pick up second hand. I use them with a matching sub woofer as my near field setup and they're superb. I've also heard great things about the Kali 8" offerings too.

Roughly half the weight. I have them on my Aerodyne. Is the bass of far east origin? If so, you may need the GB528

I have one of these and use it without PA support in my "noisy pub rock band" and it holds its own. The thought of what 2 together would sound like is pretty scary (but I would like to try)! π€£ I also use it with a number of different genre bands and at home for practice. Very versatile and handles everything I throw at it. GLWTS

I have owned a stomp and some Zoom pedals before, but not used with keyboard so perhaps I should re-consider them. My issue with pretty much any multi-fx I've tried (and I have tried most of them) is they lack that immediacy/improvisation of individual pedals chained together. The Stomp for example, say I just quickly decide while playing keys that I want to turn on a Phaser and increase its rate and then after a few seconds turn on distortion and gradually increase that: Perhaps I'm doing things wrong but I would usually figure I need to have a 'Phaser + Distortion' preset to scroll through to that'd have Phaser assigned to one FS (to turn on first), 'phaser rate' assigned as something I can easily/quickly edit with the knobs, then 'Distortion' on another FS to turn on and distortion amount assigned to knobs to increase, and what if I then decide I want to add a delay for the last notes of the song and I don't have that as a FS in the preset? I dunno, but that sort of scenario never seems to have worked out for me with multi-fx in the same way as if I just had them as individual pedals, I'd end up needing a massive list of presets to scroll through to cover every eventuality, or a big long effext chain I scroll into to activate the specific ones I need, or different footswitches assingned for different eventualities. For me, multi-fx are great for pre-planned sets with presets, and 'always on' type things (amp/cab sims, compression etc), but much less so (and less fun) for live on-the-go improvisation. ..but yeah, I conceed that I should probably re-consider how I use multi-fx as they are probably the more sensible option. The Plethora X3 looks pretty decent to me as stereo effects and the sort of hands-on features of individual pedals. Annoying it doesn't have any distortions though.

Lightweight Tuners for AVRI Jazz
Steve Browning replied to King Tut's topic in Repairs and Technical
Closest I can find weights for are - the above are 61.8g each and the Schaller 70's type tuners (shorter stem but bigger button) are 102g each. Not very scientific I'm afraid. -

Fair point, they'll probably enjoy the bland stuff from Stadium Arcadium. There will probably be some post 2000 Pearl Jam as well. -

Gorgeous bass, I can see me getting one of these at some point.

Thanks for that. I had forgotten about that section, looks like the last time it was touched was nearly ten years ago I've plugged the Tele in, will plug the active Strat (heresy on heresy) in later and just have a play. The 8" cab is (to my ears) a very good cab for both guitars and basses. I would like to say it's my playing but I'm not that stupid (or egoistical). Rob

Exclusive at Andertons No idea how 'limited' limited is. There's also a few guitars in the same finish, it looks like the Jazz is the only bass offering. https://www.andertons.co.uk/fender-player-ii-jazz-bass-guitar-lavender-haze/

OK, so let's see if we can make this work on the basis that everyone pays more and brings their own food. Just checked that the hall is still available on Sunday 11 October and put a provisional hold on it. However, we will need at least 20 Basschatters to commit by paying Β£15 a head well in advance. This will also more than cover the continuous provision of hot drinks. If the attendance is higher on the day then we can just divide the cash surplus and give everyone a cash refund before close of play. Alternatively, the balance could be donated to a pre-agreed charity. Over to you π
