I would have been impressed by Prime randomly playing me matching mole, except I wanted to hear the CCR track again...

I still want to add some stickers, but I don’t really think that that counts as modding.

I try and generally keep the A longer to try and get more wraps on the tuner post and a better break angle over the nut. Otherwise you get parasitic buzzing from the length of string behind the nut! I prefer vintage-style tuners with straight-sided posts to modern types with tapering or pinched in posts. Fender Deluxe tuners seem to try and steer the string into a location that doesn't provide much break angle over the nut.

I think we’ve deduced it happened but isn’t a sign of originality that can be used to accurately date a Fender bass. An interesting find nevertheless.

I do like Model Ps, but they do come from an era where if you replaced your stock pickups it was because you want more output, grunt, mids etc. Model Ps are great pickups in a band setting, but I spend more time noodling away on the sofa these days.

Yeah that was a deciding factor for me too, my familiarity with how zoom gear works. Where are you based? You're welcome to come and try mine if you're anywhere near Hereford (doubtful, nothing's near Hereford🤣).

his approach to music, deep harmony knowledge, his technique? speaking of thing, I'd rather ask what has been made famous by him (fretless Stingray, OC-2, CE-2?) -

Selling my two Barefaced Super Compact cabs, both bought direct from Barefaced in July 2019 and owned by me since. These are incredible-sounding, lightweight 1x12” cabs with a huge sound for their size. Perfect for small gigs or big stages - together they make a powerful, modular alternative to a Barefaced Super Twin. Both cabs are in excellent condition and have seen light use, especially since the Covid lockdowns. Never pushed hard, just not gigging enough now to justify keeping them. They deserve to be played. Prefer to sell as a pair, but happy to split. Price £550 each £1050 for the pair (No trades please) Specs (per cab): Dimensions: 56cm x 44cm x 30cm (22" x 17.5" x 12") Weight: 11kg / 23.5lbs (steel grille) Usable Frequency Range: 37Hz - 4kHz Recommended Amp Power: 150–600W RMS Max Output: 127dB Impedance: 8 ohms Location / Collection Based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire Collection or local meet-up only Thanks for looking!

Need some help on the wiring for a BFM Omini 10.5
neepheid replied to rwillett's topic in Repairs and Technical
Most of the time, when I was gigging it, it was used in conjunction with a RedSub BT5110 combo, so it was getting its full 250W because it's a 500W amp at 4 ohms and this was dealing with half of it. Have also shoved the TC Electronic BH250 on it in the past, but that's a 250W head at 4ohms and TC are rather tightlipped about what it does at 8 ohms. -

Pretty much everything from Rubber Soul to Abbey Road sounds SO much better on a Ric, irrespective of what Macca (or not Macca) actually played on the track 👍
