  1. Past hour
  2. Here it is after two thin coats of clear varnish - less pink but still very grey (I think my phone camera is adding red tones)
  3. If your looking at doing this on a budget , Can i recommend a Valetone Gp-5 , Im using this is a 70 quid IR loader / amp sim tool , https://www.andertons.co.uk/valeton-gp5-multi-effects-processor-amp-and-ir-loader/ have a watch of this it should jump to the bass settings section at about 15 mins in. I use mine ( hell i use the finger bass preset ) in place or an amp straight into a the PA system , my setup is this on the end of my pedalboard straight into the rehearsal space PA . I can adjust any of the settings straight from my phone i dont bother with any of the effects which are a bit " meh " but as a tiny amp in a box its fantastic.
  4. Cracking pics. Well done. Dave
  5. That's interesting. Could that be why folk buy new and then deface their instrument just for credibility on the scene?
  6. Oh, I was taking to you all yesterday (mainly Paul) and didn't realise you were connected to BC (I was the guy playing the pre EB blonde Stingray)...!
  7. Barefaced One Ten Cab 200 watt 8 ohms. Excellent condition with the usual tolex lift at the back. A nice loud little cab, very light and perfect for small gigs and rehearsals. Pickup preferred but I could post at buyer’s cost in the UK.

  8. Labella’s Chromes and Cobalts gone, Daddario NYXL and halfrounds left, found some Dunlop Flats also available
  9. Going to gigs by bus or train only really works if you live in a larger town or city, where public transport is frequent, extensive and runs until reasonably late at night.
  10. Boss ABY switcher, I used to run two basses on a gig and this made it easy to quickly switch between them. Can be used for that purpose or to run one Input and switch between two outputs (effects loops, amps etc). I have no use for this so siting in a box. Yours for £20 posted. Open to offers. Runs on AAA batteries.

  11. Certainloy not irrational. Get thee hence.
  12. Probably not the most exciting pedal for bass players. I wanted to add a bit of reverb to a band that plays a bit accustic and quiet at times so I thought adding the reverb as an option to the chorus already on the board. I am looking forward to exploring the possibilities of this pedal.
  13. Apparently it had been driven hard and had lots of wear & tear I'll get me coat......
  14. https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/514170-sold-seafoam-green-50s-p-bass-£400/ This beauty is available as have my eye on something at present, it’s light, sounds immense but just doesn’t work in my band at present- probably should just change bands! Comes with soft case and will be securely packaged Thanks Dave
  15. The olive oil thing really does work for me. I’ve also found that the newer suction method of wax removal is more efficient than syringing, and not so risky for your eardrums apparently. Ironically you make more wax being in loud environments, it’s nature’s way of trying to protect your hearing, or what’s left of it. My earwax specialist does the suction thing and then has a tiny camera so you can look down your own ear to make sure she’s done a good job - strangely satisfying, and for a few days afterwards I can hear mice breathing….😁
  16. I’ve used digital pedals with a touch of latency, sure, but it’s certainly not a ‘norm’ in my experience. I find most modern digital kit has no discernible latency (note ‘most’). The OC5, in my set up at least, has absolutely no sign of it. I’d think it was an OC2. To be fair, even in poly mode, the latency is barely noticeable. Only really when the filter is rolled back to its ‘lowest’ processing stage. I had a similar latency blip with the Eventide Pitchfactor’s octave when a heavy filter is applied. I can’t think of any other digital pedals I own that have any sign of latency at all, though admittedly all the digital stuff I own is fairly modern (no more than a couple of years since design).
  17. Just thinking about this is stressing me out 🙃
  18. The amount of online info available now means buying sight unseen is a reasonable option, I feel. Research, research, research!
  19. I find the technique that works best is to wait until you're not playing any notes. Seems to bypass that problem.😜 Still cheesy as cheesy peas, but to hell with it. If you're playing in 12 bar D you can flip it end-over onto the scroll and play open notes. That was pretty usual business for me for a while. Gotta love an open-note bassline, so subtle. 😁
  20. Today
  21. Quick sale £220 delivered. bargain for this powerhouse. drives a 4 ohm cab easily.
  22. I've messaged you about this
  23. Do you know if her growler was supercharged?
  24. A great song from my friends
  25. Un-trimmed strings on guitars. Resulting in string ends dangling off at eye-poking height. You’re not Tom Morello! Cut them off dammit!
