  2. To double down on what some others have said re: Spector... The Pulse II is the best bang for your buck, sounding, feeling and playing Spector in your price range, especially if you can get a used one. Keep your eyes open and you should be able to grab a used one at the top of your budget! Otherwise you may be able to get a used Spector Ethos which is also excellent.
  3. Easy one (too much digital ink recently), this is the Dave Brown bass part to 'samba Pa Ti' from the 1970 Santana album ' Abraxas'. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/samba-pa-ti-santana/
  4. I mean I sort of get @ordep's point too. But if it's on a board... and you can step on it... (like on an actual switch, I know it's possible to just step on anything 😀)... How about the switchless, always on stuff on boards? They're not really pedals, they're just boxes after all 🙃
  5. Ever wanted that mega Bi phase action like a musitronic! But smaller and cheaper. These are difficult to find, so my last bump.
  6. It gives my Fender American Deluxe Jazz a run for its money.
  7. This is still available
  8. I have been asked how much does this weigh - I thought it was quite light and according to my (never cost me anything in penalty fees on Ryan air) luggage scale it weighs in at 4.22 Kg
  9. This is basically bosses big muff
  10. The power of BC, top marks 👏👏👏. Same here and I keep looking at this too…
  11. The chap who bought the Cort has it listed for sale on here now i think.....He's local to me. Ah just saw he's sold it already
  12. Ah, I thought only the Warwick and the Zon survived your cull! That sound like a plan, lemme know what biscuits you want and lets sort a date 😃 I almost gave you a shout about the Cort after you raving about it, then I saw in the classifieds that you moved it on and it has since changed hands again.
  13. Today
  14. They weren’t too shabby in their choice of bass players in the 70s… John Gustafson, Alan Spenner, Gary Tibbs. Not a bad roster!
  15. As luck would have it I just happen to have a Spector Pulse 2 with the LHZ Hazlab clone preamp sitting in the front room and we're overdue a visit....I'll bring it over 🙂 In fact I'll bring all 3 active basses over for you if you want - so thats a German Warwick Proline and my trusty old Zon. They're all different flavours of awesome activeness. Add a Cort A4 Plus to your list as well - stunning bass for the money
  16. I folks! My Walter Woods Electracoustic | 2-channel 1200 Watt "Blue Light" is for sale Let me know if you are interested. best,
  17. And don’t forget, he was the bass player in the punk/new wave band “Breaking Glass” with Jonathan Pryce on saxophone. 😉🤣
  18. Well, that takes the biscuit!
  19. Look what you've started mate! now listening to hours of Roxy Music and considering a new fretless.... Agree, the bass is sublime on this. Another thing about RM, they often had incredible intros, you just had to continue listening... Case in point, Avalon. Cheers,
  20. Yeah you’re right, in fact it’s two basses one through the Fuzz Face and one direct, the search continues
  21. Just bought a Darkglass pedal from George. Very smooth transaction, speedy delivery and the pedal was superbly packaged. Great guy to deal with
  22. Lovely Wenge neck, think I’d prefer my Stage 1 5 to have an electronic setup similar to this tbh as I always play mine in bypass!! GLWTS
  23. Agree, it’s difficult to get past this
