  2. Stop being soft. You know I don’t like it when you’re soft. 😉
  3. Hands Off She's Mine- The Beat
  4. Ever wanted that mega Bi phase action like a musitronic! But smaller and cheaper. These are difficult to find, so my last bump.
  5. Raising cash so up for sale is IMHO one of the finest tracking octavers available for bass. It has two distinct octave voices a Growl which replicates the toothy synth tone of an OC2 and a Girth which is smooth and deep like an EBS octabass/octamizer. You can get subtle variations from mixing the two. It also has a switchable mid boost/cut on the clean tone which can be adjusted internally, very handy. Usual small MXR enclosure with fantastic build quality. Its in great condition and a beautiful deep blue sparkle. No box, but will be well packed. (Note- the A sticker will be removed and cleaned, ive a two channel setup and kept mixing them up 🤣) £90 posted to UK only
  6. Now your talking. Let 'em have it!
  7. Bump. These were cut nice and long to allow them to be fitted on a Dingwall bass. They should therefore, fit on any other bass.
  8. Went well. We only played through the first set, then did some troubleshooting... usual stuff, an established band has its own arrangements. Quite how they fitted in an extra two beats to each chorus of Milk and Alcohol eludes and confuses me... Knowing I'm up to speed on the second set is a confidence boost as I start gigging with them in July. Originals tomorrow night... keeping four bands' worth of songs in your head is good brain training!
  9. Im overwhelmed and lost for words! You wonderful people have been a light in some of the darkest days of my life. The money is a huge help and allieviates some worry, all the lovely comments and advice have shown me i have people in my life that care. Ill withdraw my MIJ 75RI and ill take it to a gig on sunday, and lay down some funk in your honour 😊 @AndyTravis has been a rock and im very glad you're all my people. My sincere and humble thanks to you all.
  10. Pete just bought my A&H Z10FX mixer. So easy to deal with. Good comms, flexible and friendly. Would absolutely deal with again.

  12. This is a Squier Classic Vibe P bass neck. Someone has added a Fender logo. Tuners are Gotoh GB2. They are quite stiff and have a high ratio (1:26), which means it takes longer to string up but once done they are accurate and hold the tuning well. One ear is slightly bent. The skunk stripe is very slightly not flush on one side for the first couple of frets. I estimate about the thickness of a piece of paper, so 0.05-0.10mm. Nut width: 41mm Heel width: 64mm Heel height: 26mm £110 posted within UK.
  13. Pretty good night last night after a few weeks off. One new song in the set that went ok for a first outing, though I mucked up the ending. Nice venue that’s almost always a good night and last night didn’t disappoint. Plenty of singing andan assortment of dancing girls. Plenty of nice comments after at the gig and on social media which always raises the spirits. Sound in my IEM’s was good with the repaired custom plugs and the new Sennheiser unit which is definitely better than hardwired with the Behringer, or the xVive that I have had problems with bleeding over the Wi-Fi link from phone to mixer for my aux. It did feel as if the other side of my plugs had failed, but that might just be that ear being more deaf so possibly need to tweak the balance. The boundary mic I chuck under the kit for a bit of ambient wasn’t working for some reason, probably the step down cable to the mic so I ended up coming home and ordering another before heading to my pit. Couple of videos from the evening… bass a bit low and rumbling but hopefully just the phone as general consensus seemed to be the sound was good at the venue - sounded great in my IEM’s 😁 Spot the cheats 🙄 VIDEO-2025-06-15-17-05-36.mp4 VIDEO-2025-06-15-17-05-36.mp4
  14. Great set up. Ran exactly the same rig for a few years pre covid. GLWTS
  15. Surprisingly loud for 30W and bomb proof. Good sounds and highly portable.
  16. We’re an established 80s/90s cover band with a 25-song setlist and a passion for everything from U2 to Pulp, REM to Republica, and The Smiths to Simple Minds. We’re tight, nearly gig-ready, and just one bass legend away from being complete. What we’re looking for: A skilled bass player who can lock in with the drums and make the crowd move. Someone who knows their way around a fretboard and a punchline. A team player who loves the music and the madness of live performance. What you’ll get: A solid setlist packed with bangers. Gigs with a great bunch of musicians who don’t take themselves too seriously. A chance to relive the golden era of indie, new wave, and Britpop Check us out at https://kiernander.co.uk and drop us a line if you’re ready to bring the bass and the banter.
  17. It's a Mesa thing. I've searched and searched and can't find it but there was an article or some written explanation by Randall Smith about why they did it that way. It used to annoy me when I gigged my 400+, Carbine M9 and Walkabout. The explanation made sense from a tone point of view but was in practice, nothing but an inconvenience. I ended up using a DI and that just killed the whole point of having the Mesa as a gigging amp. Only the band could hear it. I still love Mesa amps, though but it'll be a GK Fusion 550 behind me on Friday evening.
  18. Platinum - Mike Oldfield
  19. What on earth for? You just adjust correctly, then tighten the locking screw!
  20. Today I got a response from them: "Hey Roger, Thank you for checking in and I hope you are well. After some testing we have verified that the Luminal block is working and there is no bug causing a malfunction. If you would like an aggressive compression with the FET compressor and especially if you are using a potentially low output bass, an additional boost with a Gain block or another one of preference might be needed before the compressor, in addition to turning up the Input control setting. Can you please verify if that is the case?" Well, I ain't that pleased with the answer. The BUS Compressor works fine in comparison, but the need of an extra gain stage, stealing place in the signal chain, just to bump up the signal so the input in the Hyper Luminal will work well feels a bit unnecessary. They could trim the input gain control on the compressor block and save some space. I got an answer. Or - we all got an answer, since it wasn't me who brought up the matter in the first place. And - I don't want an aggressive compression; I want compression. I think I'll stick to the BUS Compressor; it makes what I want it to do...
  21. Thanks Dave...I think you called it some time back but I was genuinely surprised when they asked me to join. As for the Barefaced gear, the 10's really suit the numbers we play in this band and I'm sure you can imagine an eb3 through them (may not be everyones cup of tea but I love it) I play a Squier pj mainly in my originals band with a Jive pedal. A different sound altogether and something I'm still getting used to.
  22. It was a Saturday night - I guess that makes it all right?
  23. Small world, eh? 🙂
  24. Hello from the diagonally opposite edge of the Peak District!
  25. Fantastic Jazz Bass from Mayones. It is upgraded with Seymour Duncan pickups and a Sadowsky preamp. Original 2 band Mayones preamp is included. It weighs something around 4.3 kg. Balances perfectly. Action can go as low as you want without buzz. Fantastic professional grade jazz bass. I am located in Netherlands. Can ship within EU. I had many deals on this forum without issues.
