  2. That’s great Dave. Like you I love the Glam side but would love a sideline if I hade the time. My passion is late 70s/early 80s post punk/alternative and recently I’ve been playing a bit of 70s funk (finger style - not slap 😂).
  3. Impressive bass, stack and wallpaper!

  5. Hello All, I am selling this bass on behalf of a good friend who no longer uses it as he favours his Pbass for his gigs. This bass is serial number 1847 and was built by Gerald Marleaux in Germany. Here are a few specs, Colour Dark Sunset. Body - maple, top Figured maple. Neck - 5 piece flamed maple with what appear to be slim walnut insets. Fingerboard - Ebony. Electronics and Pickups - Delano. Bridge - Marleaux Tuners - Schaller (black) I have played this bass and it is a beauty. If you need further info do let me know and I will provide it asap. weight is 9.4 lbs, medium weight, excellent balance. Please note there are a couple of minor cosmetic issues with a tiny ding on the headstock and a couple on the bottom section of the body. Condition in general is very good. Comes with a high quality gig bag. Proof of ownership will also be provided.
  6. Seen them listed from anywhere between £700 - £15000 (yes three zeroes). Lovely pedal but way too rich for my blood.
  7. This is my 1980 Wal Pro 2E, it had been sat in its case for the last god knows how many years in need of a good going over. The pots were knackered, the jack socket was shot to bits, it was basically unusable but I had other working basses and so it wasn't a priority. Eventually I came to my senses and gave it to Paul at Electric Wood to do his magic. I was expecting it to take ages, which I was fine with, but he turned it around in only a couple of months and then apologised for taking so long . He ended up doing a whole list of other stuff that I hadn't realised needed doing, but to his credit he stuck to his original quote. And oh my god, it sounds incredible -- I'd forgotten just how good. It'll be coming with me to the various Bashes this year, so you can see for yourself. And it'll be getting its first gig for at least 20 years at the end of this month, at a dementia research benefit with the ska band.

  8. Made in Japan in mid 1970's I believe, she has some small dings and a graze on the front, but all works as it should. Active 18v EQ powered by 2x9 volt batteries. Neck is lovely and been oiled. She has flats on atm and the sound is thunderous as expected from these. Quite a rare bass. I don't have a gig bag for this, the one shown is not included, and at present I don't have a long shipping box so may remove neck for safe shipping. Shipping UK £15

  10. 25 year old Fender CIJ Precision neck with string tree and tuning machines. This was on a Warmoth body that I never took out of the house. Condition is excellent. Price includes postage (UK)

  11. That's great, and I get that it's basically a light entertainment show. But, being the aging, grumpy, muso that I am, I'll quite happily continue listening to more Beatles and Floyd outtakes and re-releases for my musical entertainment.... That said, it does seem to have become quite political in recent years, which is an unexpected and interesting development.

  14. 2002 Squier Affinity Precision, my very first bass! I got this as a Christmas present along with a Fender Rumble amp, best Christmas ever. Stock aside from some copper shielding and the pickup is the one from my USA P as that now has a Di Marzio. Fender flats.
  15. Pickups sold, last few bits left, will do a good deal if you buy a few.
  16. I'm still using my old Boss DD-6. Works great. I'm not sure delays have tracking issues at all though.
  17. I used to really enjoy when songs were really influenced by the country of origin. That was interesting and entertaining. I still enjoy it greatly, but I miss that element.
  18. It’s become more political recently, which is a shame.
  19. The pedal is in fantastic condition practically new. It comes with the original box and all the paperwork.

  20. https://on.soundcloud.com/dodnjMxBAi7P8xpfqu Well, it’s been a few months… And I still can’t do the link thing. Anyhow - a little ditty. Not sure why I chose this; think the breakdown in the middle represents the painting part, the higher paced ending, just the freedom of the newly painted cow… That’s about the most tenuous explanation of what it means… Guild Baritone 8 string Fender baritone Strat Gibson Les Paul Gibson Ripper Garageband. “The Life Of A Cow Painter”
  21. Eurovision used to be harmless fun imho. Take it or leave it , it’s something that’s always there . Not for me anymore . Having said that I did like scooch flying the flag 😬
  22. This is the cleanest sovtek small stone I’ve ever come across. It’s never been on a board and was still sealed by the wire up until a couple of years ago.

  23. Good on them for choosing someone genuinely different. I think part of the apathy in the UK stems from the fact that a lot of other countries seem to take Eurovision quite seriously, whilst our committee seems content to phone it in! Every few years they decide to try something different lazily squidging together a forgettable Airfix pop group, so I guess we're at that point in the cycle where the UK is making a bit of an effort.
  24. The pedal is like new only used a couple of times at home. I bought it to go on a board but ended up using the Cali 76 instead.
