  2. Ooh, very nice Sir! I sadly had to let my Cayenne HH Elite Dimension go as a trade-in when I bought my KingBass Mk-II last year. Still miss it!

  14. Today
  15. Yeah - I'm pretty intrigued by this brand. Quite a wide range of styles and different finishes which is cool. Hopefully GG pick up a few more.
  16. So I was told that it had some “vintage” pickups in it when I bought it. Because I can’t stop spending money I bought some new pickups (Tonerider) but I started checking the current ones. Resistance is 11.1ohm and the markings and design I have now found come from Fender American Standard P, so they are actually quite good ones. 🙄 But the pads behind them looked like bits of car sponge so I got proper ones and some black screws so I can at least adjust them properly now!!
  17. Spanish Bombs - The Clash
  18. It could be anyone who makes those kind of choices who doesn't remember Howard Jones the first time. Howard had a DIY element to him too, by the way. I think his first synthesiser was built from kit bought mail order from Maplin. I don't think it's important to win Eurovision, because it's not really much of an accolade. Far more fun to take part and fail spectacularly due to the gauche taste and frustrated prejudices of countries who couldn't produce a decent pop song if their continued existence depended on it. If there's one thing the UK doesn't have to prove to anyone it's how to do pop music. We're really rather good at it without even trying. It just comes naturally. I still enjoy Eurovision, but it's threatening to become a victim of its own self-consciousness. It was more fun when British people enjoyed it for being rubbish because all the other countries in it didn't have a clue most of the time when it came to pop music. That was it's charm. Now it's still rubbish but with delusions of grandeur.
  19. Ah, I see what you mean. This photo shows a small gap between the lever and the mechanism, allowing the full travel of the tuner in the drop-D position. Maybe your original tuners are mounted slightly closer together?
  20. Ashdown Little Giant. it works ok but the fan doesn’t kick in, it’s supposed to on start up for a second to test it then it comes on when it gets pushed and warms up. It’s doing neither. So it’s either the fan relay that’s gone (which I can’t find an exact match of at the moment to replace) or the signal to it, or the temp sensing part of the circuitry. It’s a shame as it works ok apart from that and the person I am trying to fix it for can’t afford a new (even 2nd hand) amp so he’s amp less at the moment.
