  1. Past hour
  2. Very kind! It does Ramones too
  3. Owned since new, used perhaps 10 times. I got this for smaller gigs but my Barefaced rig suits me better. Looking for £200.
  4. From the same album, the complete John Goblin part for the opening track, 'For You For Me'. Great for practicing octaves. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/for-you-for-me-jon-anderson/
  5. You might well be right; I'm getting too old and confused to understand what young people really want. (That was the basis of my defense in court, anyway.) That whole math rock, new metal thing is unlistenable for me so I don't pay too much attention In terms of sales numbers I have no idea, but traditional designs still seem to proliferate in the mainstream.
  6. I'll be in London next week on business if that's any help?
  7. Really nice playing sir - I had to watch the video to the end, very tasteful 😊 GLWTS
  8. It's basically going to be an updated version of the Nemesis heads, not the WT design. They don't have valve preamps, for a start. The Nemesis stuff was great though, and was probably the first ever proper lightweight range of bass gear. The FET preamp sounded reasonably "valve-y" too. The Nemesis 8x10" combo (yes, combo) was one of the coolest bass rigs I ever tried, and it sounded massive.
  9. Don't Let Daddy Kiss Me - Motorhead
  10. For sale Great condition and full working order, German made lightweight cab. I've been using this as a stand alone cab for the last 6 months and it handles most gigs easily. Very tight sounding cab with multiple options for tweeter tweaking via the dial located inside the carry handle. I have lots of packaging if postage is required. Cheers.
  11. Great bass. Have a free bump!
  12. Personally, if this comes to pass, I'm expecting that Fender will re-release the range under the Fender banner, but rename them the "GL-2000", "GL-2500", etc as a nod to where they came from. If they did that, hopefully they go back to the cleaner look of the non-CLF versions, with the rear-mounted controls and without the weird lumpy metal control plate. I'd love to see the brand survive as G&L, but I'd be alright with that, I think. I'd actually be OK with the idea that they might do what they did with the Jazz Bass Plus back in the 90s after they acquired Kubicki, and use the G&L pickups and electronics in a Jazz Bass.
  13. Ha! Yes, that'd make so many people rage quit in protest and would be amazing!!
  14. Up for grabs is my Moon JJ4. Ebony fretboard, brass nut, the body looks like alder... The preamp is the legendary Bartolini TCT, the original Marcus Miller preamp. Мany scratches and dents on the body. The neck is straight, the frets are polished. 4.240 kg Hard to beat (at any price) in terms of sound, playability and craftmanship.

  15. Dear Father - Yes
  16. Sorry, folks. I've been ill for over year...almost shuffled off the old coil...but am back playing again, but nowhere near the level I used to. I'm actually using this book and one by John Patitucci to get my fingers moving again. Mel Bay tell me the book has sold very well, which is gratifying. It's amusing to be learning from my own books! @Natasha Glad to know my books have helped you! As for your question: Almost all the book is below the 12th fret, whith just a few of the more modern pieces venturing higher. Only one, I think, goes above the 17th fret. There's plenty there to keep you occupied.
  17. Bought new a few months ago but not used or needed. (I had some outdoor gigs). Comes with all the adaptors. £30 delivered.
  18. I’ve just had the pleasure of completing another delightful transaction with Joel - he bought a Micromark cover from me. He paid instantly and even let me know when the cover arrived safely.
  19. Here’s a French now starter kit. You get: 1 x French Bow (I believe it’s a Stentor one). Great condition, keeps tension, hair in good nick. Sounds good! Some Rosin (approximately 25% left) Cloth (to wipe rosin from the strings when you’re finished playing) String book - essential skills on how to use the bow and some basic music to get you started This bow is an entry level model, but it’s got me to Grade 5/6 level with no problems. I’ve upgrades my bow and this one is now for sale. Looking for £65 and I have a bow tube to send it in.
  20. I wish F will start using G&L headstocks only. By the way, where's Kubicki?
  21. Beautiful bass! Lovely playing 👍, sounds great.
  22. Question: if Fender were to take over G&L, would they keep the batwing headstock? Winner or loser?
  23. It’s taken over 40 years but, as I now almost exclusively play shorties on gigs, does this make me ‘down with the kids’?
  24. Best bass filter on the market IMHO, good price too! Si
  25. That's works with me, I'll send you a PM with the details.
