  2. Yamaha DXR 8 Active Speaker This unit has been used as a keyboard monitor and comes with brand new Yamaha outdoor semi waterproof cover and mains lead. It is in good condition although it has lost its control knob caps. Everything works as it ought to. It is in very good cosmetic condition It’s very powerful for an 8” active cab. Great little multi purpose speaker. The original woofer has been replaced with a recommended Fane equivalent. Power Output: Dynamic: 1100W (LF: 950W HF: 150W) / Continuous: 700W (LF: 600W HF: 100W) Frequency Range: 57Hz - 20kHz Inputs: XLR-3-31 x1 , INPUT2: Phone x2, INPUT3: RCA PIN x 2, THRU: XLR3-32 x 1 (Parallel with INPUT 1 ), LINK OUT: XLR x 1 Pole Mounts: 2 options - 1 straight and 1 angular socket for mounting at downward angles Dimensions: 280mm (11") x 458mm (18") x 280mm (11") Weight: 13.5kg (29.8lbs) Pickup preferred but I can post at buyer’s cost. It is very well built and the packed weight will reflect this so I envisage it will be around £20 to post it. UK only. Priced to reflect the replacement driver and lack of control caps.
  3. Facebook is full of scams. I saw one last week for andertons, selling marshal speakers for 9.99. I have seen those before and know they are scammed, so I looked, sure enough it said anderton music supplies, had their logo and everything, then look closer, 120 followers. Reported it as a scam, Did a search for andertons, hundreds of thousands of followers, no little speakers, contacted them they said not to deal with the other thing as it was a scam, I said I knew and had reported it but thought they might have more clout, they said they report them every day and nothing happens. Sure enough, 2 days later got a thing from facebook saying that the complaint wasn't upheld. Now I assume everything on facebook is fake, as long as meta get their money they don't care who they are ripping off.
  4. If I was in the UK I'd bite your hand off for this. Quirky in all the right ways.
  5. I will definitely look into that, thanks. The older Katana was actually my first choice but they were discontinued and sold out at that time. I'm now going to explore the relative merits of the NUX v the Boss. Choices, choices! The Katana does look and sound pretty nifty from what I've seen on YouTube so far.
  6. If anything the laser beam highs from guitar cabs mean they're what needs the most to be in the PA, both out front and in monitors. For all their fussing over gear they tend not to understand how it works very well. No one needs more than a 1x12 combo. But somehow far too many of them think it's still 1965 and they need rigs capable of filling Wembley with no PA.
  7. It's pretend flame. It comes off with the current finish. OP, paint it the colour you prefer. I'd say Monaco Yellow but that's not much use if you don't like Monaco Yellow.
  8. Pffff. He could make it sound brighter just by using lighter coloured lego for the body.
  9. Don't cover up the flame....natural wood or transparent sunburst?
  10. Yeah frustratingly, I can't even find the picture of the J4 or P4 22 fret models.. only the 20 fret is pictured. The 24fret obviously wouldn;t have an overhang and, with the lack of decent pictures, I'd assume that the 22 fret doesn't have an overhang and is a deal breaker, given the additional costs required to rout the body on top of the neck price. That said, the necks are adjusted, PLEK'd and the nut doesn't "need" cutting, so that coud offset costs. I'd love to try one out on a bass.
  11. It's a scam.
  12. There seems to be something along similar lines, offering 70th anniversary Strats for free. The pictures on one ad include a Jaguar, a Bass VI and an unopened Squier box!
  13. Total scam. As soon as I saw the URL, I knew.
  14. Brick House — Commodores
  15. Latest funding incentive for the war effort...
  16. Could really do with moving this on as my half pay kicks in next week!
  17. I think this is the version with less character than the one with more character. 😄 the builder said it is in between the 2020s and the previous version. It is noticable for my ears. sounds a bit fuller with a bit more noticable warmth/mids, thou admittedly the difference is on the subtle side. I use it with my Stomp XL setup.
  18. White donlis musicman alnico pickup..supposed copy of seymour duncan 4a....£30 (unused) Haussel (quality German) musicman pickup white alnico...£50 Hipshot d-tuner for musicman bongo..£60
  19. Slightly too good to be true, scammy
  20. Boss BCB90 plus effects as shown. All individual effects have their own boxes. All high quality patch leads and power supply integral to case. Case has never left the studio. All in great condition. Price does not include postage and happy to package up. Bargain price if you’re looking to set up an effects system. This covers most needs. May separate, message for individual prices
  21. Thomastik flats (check reviews) https://www.thomann.co.uk/thomastik_jf344.htm but super long scale 36”) they fit my 34” jazz fine though E string does wind around post but no issue .. but I’m really a roundwound steels player & thought I’d try em as they are more metallic sounding than regular flats & have normal kinda tension .. less than an hours play & strung inline 4 (jazz bass) .. £30 posted
  22. Quite a change from a high end bass to a simple J.
  23. Check the link before posting @TheGreek... It's in Russia, so a big scam!
