  2. Oof - absolutely glorious! 😍 The black neck works a treat, as does the mirror-finish gloss on the body. Enjoy!

  4. Sorry for the wait! Here it is. Gigged it yesterday and it was fantastic.
  5. Fractory.com In the US, sendcutsend.
  6. Wise move methinks, not sure if a guitar one would accommodate a Mustang Bass otherwise would have done the same.
  7. Had this for about 8 years. Light use with a few scuffs. Sat on a board for a while and used as a volume pedal so no longer has the rubber feet. £30 inc. postage or collection from Telford. NOW £25 POSTED Tar! Alex
  8. I’ve re-listed this with a price increase due to fix the majority of the issues with it. So… A friend messaged as soon as I posted it last time saying he wanted to buy it. Long story short he messed me around for a couple of weeks and never ended up actually buying it. So, I decided to keep hold of it and get it cleaned up. I took it to my local tech who contact cleaned it and added a new power input jack so all of the crackling has gone. But, he said it needs a new foot switch and it sometimes doesn’t fully engage when pressed the first time. As I was only using it at home I didn’t bother spending more on the switch as he charged me £30 for the clean up and new input. But I’m just not using it so decided to re list it. It was £80 last time so was going to re list at £105 inc postage in order to to get a little back from the clean up spend. Here’s a video of it showing the intermittent footswitch. He said it’s a fairly simple fix, I just didn’t want to spend any more of it at that point. The original listing below… 100% on how to price this but… It’s in desperate need of a service and needs the power connection replacing as it’s a bit loose. Note - this was converted to be powered only years ago and no longer runs on batteries. They go anywhere between £160-£200 brand new with box etc in a good condition. Which, this is not. It was bought for me as a Christmas present in about 2003/4 (Imagine my parents face when they read ‘Russian big muff’ on my Xmas list 😂) Used solidly for about 8 years and has signs of such use including remnants of the gaffer tape I used to use to hold the position of the knobs. It’s sat in storage since about 2011. So, I’m going to put it up at £80 which is half of the cheapest perfect condition, working price I’ve seen. But, I’m not trying to rip anyone off so open to offers on this and wouldn’t write off trades for preamps, Chorus or compression pedals, or cases for short scales. +£5 postage to mainland UK https://youtube.com/shorts/jxTjulbQicg?si=duFNeNoyczDZiy5Q
  9. Very nice 👌
  10. They missed 'laziness' - it's written on every headstock. It's a Fender brand now, but the Squier company was created in the 1890s by one Victor Squier.
  11. They really impressed me! As you can tell from the video. Ive used them on a bunch of basses now, and I dont think I'll be going back!
  12. Fit and finish on these is very good. I have this in white and its a good bit of kit..can recommend.
  13. That is,currently, pretty much my favourite colour scheme. Especially good with yellowing lacquer and scratchplate.
  14. Worth it for the G string alignment alone 😜
  15. Great sounds on that clip Cal, those Newtone Shorties really work with the bass so well.
  16. I’ve just purchased a Hiscox case due to the company closing down. I wanted to make sure I got one of the last ones. Fortunately, I got one from a retailer who still had one in stock.
  17. Today
  18. I bought one of these a few weeks ago; fantastic bass. Wide but really comfortable neck, and a huge range of sounds. Absolutely love it, and recommend this. Best of luck with the sale.
  19. Here we have a very nice condition Status-Graphite "The Groove" 4-string bass, finished in 'Claret' red/burgundy. (Definitely looks more burgundy to the eye!) The bass is around 26 years old (1999 build) and presents well for its age. There are a few light scratches as you'd expect and one very small ding in the back, but nothing serious and all looking in good order for it's comparative age. Alder body, three-piece maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, light weight tuners, 'TRIMAX' pickup (basically three single coils joined to make a humbucker with the inner coil used for hum cancelling). Two-band EQ with cut/boost on Treble/Bass and true passive/active switching via a micro-switch. The Bass has just been set up with a nice low action & no fret buzz, and has brand new D'Addario 45-105 strings added. Comes complete with generic Gig Bag and strap locks. Offered at a reasonable £695 (dealers are trying to hawk "The Groove" Basses at anything between £850 & £1500?!) Interesting trades considered. Worst I can say is no thanks Buyer to collect from either Derbyshire DE7 (Friday-Tuesday), or Gloucester/Stroud (Wednesday-Thursday), or can meet half way up to a reasonable distance. Payment via Cash or Direct Bank Transfer. No PAYPAL.

  20. Bit late to the concept of feedback - but bought a squier jazz a few months back. Bass was great, had an open chance to test and lawrie was very accommodating. Would recommend!
  21. Great that all was well. @Phil Starr and @Bill Fitzmaurice provide great advice, if you own more than one cab take as many as you can transport and just plug up the cabs as necessary. Having too much power is easy to remedy by using the amps volume control. Having insufficient power is more troublesome. DI into a good FOH is always a good solution.
  22. Just bought an olp 5 string stingray from Pete. He was courteous and welcoming, it was a really nice experience in terms of buying, the bass itself and the social aspect! Thank you very much. Also, excellent interior decor 😄
  23. Thank you for the kind words, much appreciated 🙏 Pete was courteous and welcoming, it was a really nice experience in terms of buying, the bass itself and the social aspect! Also, excellent interior decor 😄
  24. Nice One Dave! Daryl
  25. If money was no object, which combo would you buy?
  26. ...and that was a bit of a disaster! I don't think I fully appreciated how different a 5 string Warwick feels to play compared to the four string Stingrays that I have been playing for the last twenty years. I really struggled for the whole gig adapting to both the five strings, but also the entirely different feel of the thing. I'm hoping that if I persevere things will get easier as I do think very different instruments can inspire in very different ways, but adapting does seem to be a bit of a challenge. Most notable was quite how big and chunky the stingrays felt to wear after playing the Warwick, albeit the Stingray necks are much slimmer! Mind you the Trace sounded as equally awesome with both - didn't change any settings as signal level, EQ etc. was all fine or at least nothing I couldn't tweak using the controls on the basses alone. Every day's a school day even after 35 years of playing!
