Cars with silly exhausts…

Sounds like they’re broken.

we have an industrial estate nearby and the local The Fast And The Furious tribute act met up last night…🙄

These are the same simians who always have the car windows open, even in the depths of winter, so they can hear the vroom vroom better. They also have insanely loud in car entertainment systems that consist largely of bass and someone shouting. I long for the old days and the occasional fizz fizz of a bolt on Peco tail pipe exhaust booster. Many of which just fell off after a couple months of doing absolutely nothing promised by the marketing.

Sounds like they are play the car version of the loudness wars, but with themselves.

Need a louder stereo to hear it over the exhaust, need a louder exhaust to hear it over the stereo, need a louder stereo...

I did hear a story of one youngster who went to an audiologist because he had trouble hearing the bass, only to be told he'd destroyed all hearing in that frequency range. He asked what speaker he should buy now that would enable him to boost that frequency so that he could hear it properly again.

But do they count as an 'organisation' at all..? :o

They’ve had a strat body of mine for a week, it’s been up and down the country twice and is now going back to the seller - apparently 🙄

True that. My wife has had so much stuff go missing with Evri. Anything I ship now, I just use Royal Mail.

I am waiting for someone to tell me that when I'm tuning one of my basses with reverse machine heads.

I have some models of the same bass with opposite direction tuners.

drilling holes in nice P & Jazz basses for bridge covers that never stay on! (unless custom shop relic)😡 it's personally put me off buying a few basses, double sided tape................🤷‍♂️.

'this won't hang around for long' (of course it always does)

the phrase: 'if you know you know'

Status Graphite: 'Rob's not making anymore' hysteria

Thanks for reminding me... those holes add important mojo. Even better if the cover marks the body around the bridge.

I'm not a man with violent tendencies, but there is something about that ghastly phrase that makes me grateful that my wife has hidden all the sharp objects in our house.

I switched from using a spectracomp to a Boss BC-1X. There were two irrational prejudices at work here - first I decided to go to an all-boss pedalboard in a attempt to put a constrain on the pedals I buy so I don't  purchase a lot of different pedals that do the same thing slightly differently, and the row of LEDs on the BC-1X show that the compressor is having an effect on the sound even though it may not be very obvious.
