Sexy bass amps

I’m currently ampless in the bass department but have a rather nice black star guitar amp. I’m looking for an aesthetically pleasing small bass amp+ cab or combo to join it but I’m struggling a little. The look tends to be black tolex and coloured speakers, where coloured tolex and a nice cloth grill is what I’m after. Any suggestions for a combo or cab?

There is a great Aguilar TH500 and 2 x SL112 cabs in the Classifieds.

In my mind a 50W bass amp is a toy, practice amp at best. I haven't used that little power in decades!  I see nothing sexy about it.

I recently bought a Laney Digbeth 500 head and it`s damm sexy  Sounds good as well. I also bought a Markbass MB58R 4 X 10 cab. I don`t know if I`m digging the usual MB look but at 16 kg for a 4 x 10 I`m willing to try.

The OP asked for something small in an unusual colour.

50W Crush straddles the line between a practice amp and something for sedate jamming etc.

 

I have bass amps at: 5W, 10W, 20W, 40W, 50W, 250W, 300W and 500W.

 

They all have their places.

 

My green anodised Joyo Badass at 50W is definitely sexy and goes well with my red PJB C4 cab.

No validation for studio volumes? 

Something with a marvellous tone that can be micced on stage?

 

Anyway, Hevos used to have some colour options. Laney has the lx15 in red, Phil Jones has some too.

Tolexing in itself isn't that hard to do, or expensive.

Barefaced do cloth grilles and custom tolex jobs. Trace Elliot green 210 with Elf on top?

GRBASS will do custom tolex as well. It's either free or cheap (the cabs aren't ! )
