Went around the house afterwards looking for old string packets so I could input the codes to get the points. Ended up with a pile of about a dozen old Prosteels packets (I'm rubbish for hoarding old strings - just in case!!) As for the classical half sets, they're not available as a reward on Player's Circle. We do however have many other things to spend your points on.
