Hence there would be a very high outlay for a high level of wastage. Advertisers seeking a specialised audience use specialist media in order to minimise cost and wastage. That's why they use musical instrument magazines, websites like BassChat and low visibility programmes like Google Adwords that deliver ads in response to keyword searches. Basically, it's the difference between buying an atom bomb to drop on a city just to kill one person or sneaking up behind him in the pub with a garotte. A 45 minute set of an artist playing Fender guitars at Glastonbury on the BBC reaches out directly to a potential target market and doesn't cost Fender anything, unless they have paid to endorse the artist maybe. The great thing for older guitar makes is that even archive footage of a band from 50 years ago can act as an advert for a guitar to be purchased now.
