Space: The thing that Bass players leave to add feel and groove which guitarists then feel they need to fill COS IT'S THERE!!
Or the keyboard fills with left hand playing because he thinks the bass player has gone to sleep or forgotten the part

Classic American Fender - also known as "smoke and mirrors" - piece of old, over-rated junk, as innovative as square wheels, built by lazy, over-weight Americans who really didn't care, with no concept of pride in their work or quality control which is why the company would have gone out of business if it hadn't been bought out by hopeful fools wanting to make a quick buck by cutting corners. Living proof that "a fool and his money are easily parted". Market leaders forever even though everybody else builds superior quality equipment.

Gnat's Chuff - a unit of technical measurement applicable to nut files.

Distortion - how a guitarist views his own talent.

Injection of energy - acceleration by the drummer

Dynamics - accidental omission of a solo, leading to a sharp reduction in volume for an instrumental verse

Green Room - Gents toilet unredecorated since 1897, where all the copper and brass is buried in verdigris

Vintage instrument: something that was generally viewed as mediocre in its day but is now highly revered purely for being old: "(in the 80's) god these modern fenders are crap, I wish had one from the 50's" "(today) god these modern fenders are crap, I'd much rather have one of those 80's ones" .. etc ...

"feel": a characteristic that allows music to convey emotion, only present in the genre you personally happen to like, and naturally absent from everything else.

"bass guitarist": a title reserved solely for the bloke who used to play in the Shadows, everyone else who plays a bass guitar is known as as "bassist".

"underrated" : a player who is fact usually widely lauded for their achievements but some random poster on basschat decides they dont get mentioned enough and so starts a pointless thread about them.

Bassist - that bloke in the band who doesn't give a rat's ass whether the punters understand, cos let's face it, even in the band only the drummer really has a clue
"punter": typical gig attendee who boasts to his/her friends how "eclectic" their music taste is but gets upset when a band plays anything other than the same 20 songs that the last half a dozen bands they went to see, played. Scientists have theorised that the level of intolerance to unfamiliar songs rises in proportion to the amount of alcohol consumed, in extreme cases subjects were observed to go into fits of rage when made to listen to anything except Mustang Sally.
