Other than learning songs for gigs, for the last 3/4 months on my journeys I have been listening exclusively to the Blindboy Podcast - incredibly varied, interesting and entertaining human being

Faith Healer by SAHB.

I remember going to the rock disco’s at the Top Rank Suite in Cardiff during 1975, they used to play this track through the massive PA, the throbbing into to the song was awesome, you could feel it hitting your chest.

I would be surprised if Stub Mandrel didn’t attend any of the rock disco’s or live gigs there.

Sadly I was only 13, only got into going to gigs at about 16/17 and not many 😞

I listened to the deluxe version of Frank Sinatra's Ring A Ding Ding! album twice this afternoon.

The second CD is 69 minutes of absolute delight.  Studio chatter, out takes, botched takes, Sinatra talking with the orchestra, Sinatra singing on his own and telling the orchestra they need to play at different tempos and where he went wrong.  It's amazing that he tracked all the vocals for 13 songs over three days just prior to Christmas 1960 AND there were clearly versions of various tracks that were clearly in flux at the time of recording.

Honestly, great stuff.
