:) He's very quiet about his band isn't he. There are a few people on here whose bands I'm intrigued by but who are very quiet about them.

I got the impression it was some sort of top end functions band doing lots of corporate gigs so I guess the name probably wouldn't mean much to most of us anyway.
I forgot to add mine. Currently playing for a guy called Nathan Wall who imaginitavely calls his set-up 'The Nathan Wall Band' Nothing very fancy, mostly pub gigs, a few functions and weddings too. Fairly steady if undemanding work. There's at least one other BC'er who is an ex band member. No point pointing links at facebook page, the band has no control over them as they were set up by now ex band members. Nathan is currently in process of setting up a basic 'official' non facebook web site.

What a great idea!

I am the bassist in 'Still Whisky' a classic rock and blues band based in the Scottish Borders. We also do quite a few original tunes to boot.

Great idea, as per my sig, two bands at present:

The Tuesday Club - glam/punk originals (and also includes Basschats very own Transistor Bassman on keyboards)

The Daves - punk covers (Pistols/Clash/Ramones etc).
[/quote]\Do you do many gigs up north in The Daves?

Necrotaph - Thrash Metal .

Mostly just having a laugh with the guys, doing a show or two a year.
A new 6 song e.p. will be recorded this fall, doing all originals.

I play in a newly formed Alternative Rock band called "Resolutes"

We've had around 5 practices since meeting each other on facebook and we've landed a gig for the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton already

(Excuse the URL. Unable to change from a previous name)

Extremely Excited,

Thanks,
Sam

Apart from the man himself, does anyone know who JTUK plays for? I've seen lots of posts from him about various gigs but not the name of the band and I don't think there's a link on his sig.

Im pretty sure he posted some live footage in a thread on here a while ago. IIR it was some YT footage but i could be wrong. Maybe check out the live video thread.

My current (10 years this year) band are called Blowup. Link in my sig. Nothing really special but its helped me see a lot more of the UK, and funded some rather nice purchases over the years.

That'll be 'My Willy's getting hard' - always a crowd pleaser! Glad you liked it!

I play for The Wirebirds, blues-rock pub band. The band was formed at the end of April and we are playing our fifth gig tonight (at the Crawley Inn, just outside Witney in Oxfordshire).

Just out of interest, thought it would be good to start a directory of basschat members bands so we can put a name to a bass player. I know some folks have it in their sig but would be good to have it in one list.

My current is Colorado Lounge and I will hopefully be doing a punk covers nock about soon.

Only skimmed the thread while I eat my Shredded Wheat, weathers too nice to sit looking at my PC. So sorry if I missed something here.

But why not go one further, and list a few past bands. Dunno about anybody else, but I quite often see faces that seem familiar from bands years ago. Or remember characters who dont seem to be around any more and wonder what happened to them.
