You never know what idiot is going to plug their bass in, so make sure the rig can take abuse. But his idea of an 18 and 4x10 being the main factors in that is hilarious! Cuz the guys in my band never know what I'm gonna do. I usually turn up with a 6 stringed bass tuned down a whole step so at that point I'm just amplifying thunder at that point.
