Gigbag - what goes in yours?

Gigbag - what goes in yours? Not the one with your bass in, the one with the cables.

I'm looking at filling mine out a bit more. Currently put in:

- a spare for each lead
- a full set of metric and imperial allen keys
- a spanner that fits straplocks
- a spare set of strings
- band banner
- cable ties to attach banner
- knife to cut down banner after set

What do you put in yours? Also, any recommendations for a bag? Currently using my 10 year old school satchel. Rawk N Roll.

(in my bass case it's just my amp.... which is a Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0) - doh sorry - I didn't see the full OP heading - I usually just take one lead, music stand, music, kettle lead, speakon cable, and one or two effects pedals (which I usually end of NOT using).

Music folder
Small tool box
2x Boss pedals (TU-2 Tuner, LMB-3 Limiter/Hiss Inducer)
1x power supply
3x instrument cables
1x extension/4 way
various patch cables
power loop from TU-2 to LMB-3
spare batteries
spare set of strings

Oh yeah, forgot a towel. Never forget your towel. I had a Guinness bar towel but I lost it. Must find another - household towels take up too much room.

Tools for the bass Allen keys ande multi screwdriver, fuses etc
..........I carry a tool kit in the car which would cover a lot of things. I don't bring that in to the gig unless we need to do some major work.
Tuner
Tone Hammer used as a pre and DI
Mic and cable
Gtr cables x 3 ( 2 Spares)
Spare Kettle lead
Speakers Cables
Bass pad...although I have so much at home I have to review this depending on the gig/dep etc.
Another pr of strings..NEW
Batteries
Ear plugs
4 way.
I'll probably pack cleaning cloths for the bass and have a towel for me.

That would be my personal bag carry. I would also have strings etc in my bass gig bags.
Music stands etc... go elsewhere.

I use a cheap plastic sports hold-all type bag: useful for stuffing clothes into that you've worn on the journey to the venue but will shed before going on stage.

For a gig:

2 * guitar leads
1 * Korg Pitchblack tuner
1 * Behringer BDI21 (just in case)
1 * smaller bag containing: screwdriver set, allen key set, spare set of strings, spare batteries
+ usually whatever book I'm reading at the time - there's usually a lot of sitting around waiting for things to happen.
(and if I'm taking an amp to the gig, probably a mains extension/multi-socket lead. But I've never had to yet...)

For rehearsal:

All the above plus

1 * guitar stand
1 * music stand
1 * folder containing all our songs + pen

And I think that's everything apart from my bass and my combo.

Old flyers and posters

I take:

- 3 instrument cables
- 2 speaker cables
- 4 way
- Extension lead
- Sansamp
- XLR cable
- Assorted screwdrivers
- A5 pad and pen

I think that’s it. Bass spares like strings I keep in the bass hard case/gig bag. Pedal spares I keep in the pedal board bag along with ear plugs.

After yearsof carrying spare everything for everyone I now take one bag, it's a double igig which carries two jazz basses, amp head, two long leads, two short leads, speakons and power lead. And a DI or compressor pedal if there's a chance I may have to lend my amp. That's it. A multitool is attached to the straps on the bag and my pedal board has an extension lead attached and another one in the front pocket. One or Two cabs in covers, done. ;0)
