  1. Try the D’addario XTs. I didn’t get on with D’addario XLs at all, they felt rough under my fingers but the XTs are great.
  2. Gig money? People get paid for gigging? 😂 Some of us, yeah! 😀
  3. That’s my point, the “doesn’t really deteriorate” definitely didn’t work for me! Maybe it’s another example of snake oil? Those who seem most perturbed about my dislike of Elixirs are the ones spending their hard earned gig money on them.
  4. Elixirs are like marmite, you love ‘em or you hate ‘me. For me the longevity just doesn’t work so they’re not “worth the money.”
  5. Check out Read Audio. The customer service is incredible and they can come to you to do the moulds! www.read-audio.com
  6. Fantastic effects power supply solution with 6 x 9V outputs. Comes with an extra 5 outputs plus and extra isolated out. Mains lead is only short as it was on my board but it’s just a standard figure of 8 mains lead if you need a longer one.
  7. I have 2 of these amazing cabs to sell. Both in good condition, one with a fabric cover that’s seen better days and one with a pvc cover made by a fiend. These are fantastic cabs, loud and defined, even down to a low B. Specifications: Frequency Response: 25Hz-15kHz Power Handling: 300 watts RMS Sensitivity: 95 dB/watt Impedance: 8 ohms Connectors: Neutrik Speakon Dimensions: 16.5h x 13.75w x 17.5d Weight: 39 Lbs. £250 each.
  8. Hi Crispin, I do have someone interested but I’ll holler if they don’t take it. Thanks!
  9. Already a classic Fender bass, this Olympic White 4 string, made in Japan in 1998. It’s been a working instrument so there are a couple of dings and some cratering of the pickup cover but otherwise, it’s in good shape. Recently serviced and set up by Joe White at J.White Guitar Workshop in Aldershot. Hung against a white wall shows the slight yellowing of the Olympic White which you’d expect on a 25 year old instrument. Sorry, no trades.
  10. Fantastic effects power supply solution with 6 x 9V outputs. Comes with an extra 5 outputs plus and extra isolated out. Mains lead is only short as it was on my board but it’s just a standard figure of 8 mains lead if you need a longer one.
  11. Diago Tourman pedalboard. Used with a few marks but good condition for a working board. PRODUCT DETAILS MODEL: Tourman PB-04 INTERNAL WIDTH: 1020mm, 40" INTERNAL DEPTH: 450mm, 17 3/4" INTERNAL HEIGHT: 100mm, 4" HOW MANY BOSS SIZED PEDALS: up to 30!
  12. A truly amazing multi effects unit with the amp modelling sims that brought Line 6 to everyone’s attention. Good condition, acres missing from base plate but works perfectly.
  13. Great condition, works perfectly! A small amount of Velcro glue on the base shown in the pic.
  14. A fantastic multi band compression pedal, one of the best! A few marks and a rough looking base plate but works perfectly.
  15. Boss OC-3 Super Octave, a stone cold classic! Great condition with just a small amount of Velcro glue on the base. Complete with box.
  16. Boss LS-2 Line Selector complete with box. Fantastic condition, clean base.
  17. An amazing envelope filter from Source Audio. Really useful effects and the incredible editing options that Source Audio are renowned for. Complete with box, original 2 pin power supply (I bought this new from the US) manual, 2 x Hot Hand expression rings, ring charger and receiver. Fantastic condition.
  18. You know what it is, you know what it does. Great condition, a couple of marks but nothing serious. 2 small screws missing from bottom plate after a repair prior to me owning this. Complete with box, photocopied manual and non genuine power supply.
  19. You know nothing of my drug intake, don’t presume! The elixir process kills the tone for me and I killed a set in 4 gigs so the longevity premise just isn’t true for me. You pay your money and take your choice. And that for me is XTs.
  20. They last longer and I prefer the tension and a slightly smoother feel.
