  1. That's class! If I had £1000 that would be mine 😅 best of luck!
  2. Nice! I'm looking to get Allan to make me a P90 sized humbucker for my Bronco project
  3. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Beautiful-bass-guitar-great-quality-excellent-sound-/303955417110?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286 I'm sure it sounds great, but what's happened to that headstock?!
  4. Don't see why not, it's just a different layout of the same controls
  5. Well, here's the answer. There is almost new Betsy in the sales forum and the Sire is sold out everywhere for the foreseeable 😅 Thomann say they have the Sire available at short notice but almost every other sire is 6 weeks minimum.
  6. Played one in Wunjo and loved it. Massive Stanley Clarke vibes but seems very well made and great features for the price. Obviously the short scale market is becoming more crowded but think Chowny are always trying to improve and refine their models
  7. I enquired about a newly announced bass the other day and got told it was due July but could be September or.... I think we are seeing how a Just In Time supply chain now isn't feasible for the foreseeable....
  8. I've had a 425 and loved the neck but just found it ungainly overall, I doubt a 4 string would be much different but they look SO COOL 😅
  9. You can go years without seeing an orange BB for sale and now there's 2 in as many days 😂 Very tempted...
  10. Scrolling through Facebook, oh that's a decent price for a Miller 5 string. Oh wait, none Fender? Eh? Oh.....

  11. Just contacted Merchant City Music as they have the black up on preorder. Saying July but could be September or later for them and other colours. Boo, but very much looking forward to these
  12. Could you measure the D and the G on the LaBellas? Reckon they would stretch to a 4 in a row headstock?
  13. Oooh very interested in that. Solid base for adding almost anything into that.
  14. That's an absolute belter - shame about the tiny imperfections but would give you peace of mind that you didn't scratch it first! 😂
  15. To be fair, if you listen to a lot of Killers Mark Stoermer has a very distinctive tone and has some nice bass lines too. Good song with a lot of memories attached to it.
  16. Thanks for that. I'd be tempted to route a bit more and stick either a double JJ or humbucker in there so I can get a proper bridge tone and just a bit more flexibility.
  17. Well. Guess you're getting new sofas then! 😁
  18. Do we know if these are the same pickups that are in the Mezzo? Tempted to go for a shorter scale 5 string but not sold on the SR shape or the pickup placement
  19. Still not a huge fan of the SR shape, but I'm really enjoying my Bronco mod and my Kingston 35" 5er just feels a bit cumbersome. How do owners find the bridge pickup? It looks a bit far from the bridge for my liking, does it still do the bridge J noise reasonably well?
  20. Has anyone played the V5 passive and have also played a V7. Wondering how they compare? I keep trying to avoid wanting one but curiosity is getting the better of me...
  21. Another bass I don't understand how it's still here? For all I know, these are every bit as good as the Sterling range and they don't do this classic natural look.
  22. Have a read of this thread. It's just a few posts down 😅
  23. Was out for a cycle in the sunshine and there was a band jamming out in the park. The first live music I've seen in over a year, was a properly happy moment!

Cycling and live music - or 'bike and bass' - my two loves! Fantastic :)

  24. I had an electra VS4 and it was so good. I just didn't want a P Bass and it was hugely impractical and costly to add a MM pickup to it. Fit and finish was Sandberg quality and hardware is exactly the same. I'm as big a fan of the TT shape but it will be very good I'm sure of it.
