  1. Hi. I find myself in need of two pack clips - the little folded wire clips that attach to the rear of the transmitters. I already have a pouch to sit my main one in, however I prefer to clip the other one to the strap of the backup bass for swift changes, and have a clip for the times I forget the pouch, of just plain and simple want to attach it to my belt. Would anyone have any idea where I can source some? I've looked at some sennheiser ones, but not sure of the size differences. Cheers
  2. Mostly 50-110 But I do have one bass with 45-100. Super fast and super fun to play
  3. The vast majority of my work is cash in hand. I declare all of it- so it is all liable to tax. Paying cash in hand doesn't mean that it exists outside of the standard system, it just relies on the honesty of the person receiving it
  4. Toothpaste cap? Bottle cap? The one on a fruit shoot type drink should do it
  5. For that money, I'm tempted myself
  6. Donington 1988 Iron maiden Kiss Guns n roses Dave lee Roth Megadeth Helloween
  7. I suspect there is a fender endorsement deal going on. There was a big giveaway last year iirc of a fender bass with a RB album graphic design. The bass on Jools looked like a jag with a mud bucket type pup in place of a p. Defo a custom job 😉
  8. I've thought this exact thing many times over. Chasing all the 'pedals of the moment' that people rave about either here or on talk bass. I've found that, for me, very very few actually live up to the hype. (Inc source, boutique brands, and some of the ehx products) The boss offerings, as well as the ampeg inspired ones don't work for me. It has cost me an absolute fortune over the years!! The ones I've had the best results with are the bass soul food, bass tubescreamer, dod bass overdrive, cream pie for subtle drive and the glove for lemmy grind I don't have much use for full on drive/ distortion tones- so I don't have anything on my boards at the moment to cover that.
  9. I'll second the Amazon book suggestion. Great book.
  10. Prince Hendrix McCartney was a guitarist before bass player
  11. Interesting stuff
  12. Altars of madness - morbid Angel. Some light relief from teaching 😉
  13. The old hr2 harmonist does pure octave up. Can be found quite cheaply too 😉
  14. Soo good to see someone mention dread zep. I had the good fortune to work for them on a uk tour in the early 90's. Lovely lovely people and boy, did tortelvis know how to work a crowd!!
  15. Allegedly the cp18 is a clone of the guitar version
  16. Thanks for that Osiris. I knew I should have done a search 😉 I've got a couple I'm watching elsewhere at the moment, but this is definitely now on my radar. Cheers!! Be about your business - nothing to see here! 🙈
  17. Apologies for the hijack, but is there such a thing as a bb pre amp clone ?
  18. I've just picked up an eno octave on eBay for £19 delivered. It does 1&2 octaves down as well as one octave up. Tracks well down to fret 4 on the e string, and sounds pretty damn good. I'll be trying it out in anger tomorrow
  19. Geezer butler - dirt and wah in nib, generally valve dirt throughout.
  20. I've just received the pedalboard I bought from Xavier. Extremely well packaged- plenty of gaffer!! 😉👏 Such an easy and straightforward transaction. Deal with this dude in complete confidence Cheers
  21. I had a play with one at stompbox the last time I visited. It's truly a superb piece of kit. The eq seemed to work very nicely, and I found my sweet spot very quickly
