1. I've been on a similar quest for a long long time. Currently I'm using an old dod fx 91 bass overdrive. I've also had got very close with the hardwire tube od, lomenzo hyperdrive, bass tubescreamer, and ebs multi drive. It's taken a lot of trying and cash ! But I think I'm more or less there now
2. According to mxr/ west side rep it is essentially the m80 with no drive and sweep able mids
3. I've ordered mine now. I really like the fact that it's essentially the m80 with sweep able mids and no drive- I rarely use mine and would rather use a dedicated pedal Apparently it's due in march / April And will retail around £159
4. Email hartke customer services? Us companies are usual very helpful
5. Blimey- I've got this on VHS somewhere! Love this tape. With Gary husband and Gary Moore is a dream band!
6. Just one thing- you can't run these on batteries GLWTS
7. Could you drop me a pic of the dial area? - that might help
8. Hi. Does the pitch box do octave up and down simultaneously?
9.
Cabasas and shekeres are similar but not the same. The Gil Scott Heron clip featured a big ol' shekere.
Fair play- didn't get that far in the clip!
10. I have a nano hot tubes, and the nano glove is in my gas list. Both sound great with bass. The glove is a gorgeous drive, and the tubes is a lovely fuzzy drive. I have also picked up a bass wah, which sounds lovely, but has yet to stun me in a mix. I keep trying though I do have to say that I'm a fussy bugger when it comes to wah.
11. The chain thing is called a cabasa Perhaps you could buy him a personality?
12. Either Dunlop max grip 1.5 or tortex 1.14 dependant on mood
13. Woody- any issues regarding interference or sound ?
14. Just want to point out this works superbly with saxophone. My wife has one on her pedalboard
15. Great basses these. Love mine. I wasn't keen on the stock d'addario strings though. Popped some rotos on and bingo! Whoever buys this is in for a treat. GLWTS dude
16. Has anyone seen this? http://www.gak.co.uk/en/alesis-guitarlink-wireless/88573?gclid=CL_kn-OFjbwCFTDMtAod8x4ApA The price seems almost too good to be true. Doubt I'll be shedding my x2 any time soon, but I do like to keep abreast of these things!
17. Try the guys at www.effectspowersupplies.com they should be able to help you out
18. My 7400 cost 375 in July. Your best bet is to look at completed listings on eBay.
19. Was bound to happen really. There will be plenty that will buy it
20. For my main band I always have at least two basses. One is always in a different tuning, and it only takes a max of ten seconds to swap at the appropriate moment. Others I may take areas aback up in the normal tuning
